    Re: NBA 2011-2012 MVP Thread

If you looking at a player that is truly the most valuable to his team, in terms of him not being there and difference in the way the team would play and the position they would be in, it has to be Steve Nash. That team would be one of the worst in the West without him. The Heat would still be a great team without LBJ, the Thunder would be solid without Durant (even though I'd probably give it to Durant, I think OKC without him is a 7 seed). I understand that's not really how it works but if you're looking at true value to a team and how much difference he makes, its Nash.

Any team with Telfair as their starting PG is doom to be a lottery pick.

LeBron should have this locked up after tonight. With Durant chucking his way to a L and LeBron taking over the game.

As I've always said, do away with that line of logic.

Change the award to Most Outstanding Player because nobody gives a damn about recognizing the guy with the least amount of help around him.

Most valuable puts too much emphasis on the caliber of help a guy has opposed to who's having the best overall season.

If we're trying to give Nash the award based off of any logic, the award has failed in every way imaginable.

Definitely feel like Lebron will walk away with the hardware this year, at this point.

If we go by that logic then it is Dwight Howard hands down. No player in the league impacts his team more offensively and defensively than him. Without Dwight Orlando is a lottery team and there 3 and 7 record without him(two of those wins are against the Pistons and Cavs) supports that.

I'd say he's tied with Kevin Love.
