Agreed completely Toad. He is 6-10 shooting, w/ 12 points, 2 rebs, 2 assists, and is playing with a lot of heart, and most importantly, playing with the ball in his possession, and they are looking good.

Darius is absolutely horrible tonight, and Davis, is playing a little bit more under control, but I still don't like him.

LOL. I feel you. I can't stand the guy too. I liked Darius backin his LAC days. He just has a hard time playing the half court eastern style basketball. He wroks best in an open west coast style offense. That's why he should be traded back there. Work a dal out with the Kings, Mavs, Denver or somebody. He is just not a good fit on this Cavs team.

Actually, I think if the Cavs go to LeBron's style of playing, D. Miles can be really helpful being as explosive as he is. But if Silas keeps his Slow down, work the ball in to "Z", then ship him out and get a decent role player from the Eastern Conference.

I really like this young Cavs team, and I am extremely impressed with Diop hustle and heart that he is showing, and he does have quite a bit of upside to him. He has the build of a baby Shaq, and I would love to see him have a work ethic, to get him to a reputable center in the Eastern Conference. With him, Lebron, Kapono, Miles (If he plays to his strengths), Davis (If he plays with Lebron), then they will be pretty good.

Dang tonight game was a dagger. Diop played well but i still would of like to see Z in the game towards the end to get the last shot cause hes pretty clutch. Lebron played great and miles and davis played smart but the cavs have a problem wit closing out games they should win. Hopefully that will come better wit experience.

Potential and hype are cousins both don't require a shred of proof just an ambiguos reality that someone may or may not be able to do something. It is a known fact that Melo, as a freshman led Cuse to the promised land. Ncaa basketball is a higher level than High school basketball last I checked. Maybe not where you live. At anyrate that is a major indicator of what a player may be capable of. Melo has shown that he has a jump shot and is a scorer ( experts lable him a scorer, everyday fans with basic knowledge of the game can see that Melo is a scorer, amatuers can't see it and would argue the point) he showed this in college. Lebron has not played against the better defenders yet. You got it twisted, when they played sac, who was guarding Lebron? the majority of the time it was Bibby, not Christie, and when christie was on him I think he tried to dribble by him twice, one of which was a charge. in the phx game it was Johnson not Starbury, against Denver is was andre miller (who he couldn't get by). Melo's first game, Bowen, known to be one of if not the best defenders in the league, defending champs, Denver wins, Melo does his thing. Then you got Houston rockets (Jimmy Jackson) who beat the hell out of Melo, and pacers (does ron artest ring a bell to you regarding defense?) Also, Melo only played 19min that game didn't play 2nd and 4th qrt. Oh by the way when Melo played against Sac, he had his best game and won.

Does Melo have things to learn?.. yes. Lebron does as well, again, he is hyped as the second coming. Some say in 4-5yrs he will be the greatest player in the league, What are you and others that believe that drinking...hype juice!! You tell me that he is going to be better than Kobe, T-mac, Iverson, Pierce etc...Not to mention whoever may come along after him. That perception is assinine!! Like I said before Lebron can't take anyone off the dribble and he can't shoot (what, am i going to believe you or my lying eyes?). You hype one game, Sac. His last two were horrible. I won't hold the horrible games against him, I say his game lies somewhere in between. I like Lebron, but I am willing to recognize what he lacks, Killer instinct, obviously you don't know what that is, in basketball it is the ability to put your team on your back and attack the defense and score (see Melo and the Ncaa final four for a quick reference), every player that has it is a scorer and is willing to score, and can score. Check the record, the most recent example is boykins of denver, the guard that outshined Lebron and Melo, he took the big shots and made them when it counted no one remembers how many assists or rebounds he had..it doesn't matter. Lebron doesn't have that type of game yet. I agree his teammates particularly davis are asses, but he has to learn to take charge if he is to be as great as you think he will be. Melo already has the killer instinct. He just has to refine his game.

LeBron has much better numbers than Carmelo in all categories including the precious scoring that you are so enamored with. LeBron has those better numbers WITHOUT the benefit of the maturation process that the college experience provides. He has played like a an NBA vet in his first week in the league OUT OF FREAKIN" HIGHSCHOOL. Call it hype if you want to, friend. If you are stubborn enough to refuse to admit that his start is an indication that LB will be a great player, then you simply label yourself as a Carmelo fan who is tired of your boy not getting enough love..

Novastar- Lebron is 6'8' 240-250...can dribble like a point guard, pass like a point guard.....add that to incredible athletic ability....you have a guy who can be the best player in the NBA very easily. It's that simple. Does that mean anything? NO. The kid is friggin 18! Will he put the time in to become a good shooter..? Etc etc, We'll find out in a few years. The fact is, if he works hard in the offseason, we're looking at the best player in the NBA by far in most likely 2-6 years.
