I agree with NovaStar, it’s cute that he’s passing the ball, but he plays with absolutely zero passion, like NovaStar said he is efficient. He’s almost too poised. And that standing around isn’t all Silas’ fault. If a player wants to be involved in a game he will MAKE himself involved in the game. Look at Kobe and McGrady, those are guys that demand the rock. Right now his game is a little too precious. Like I said the rebounds and assists are nice, but he's got to make the guy defending him work a little harder. Get to the basket man. Take it hard. Players like him and Jason Williams I wish could just learn something from a guy like AI, Kobe, or Tracy. Those guys BRING IT every night.

Re: Nuggest vs Cavaliers
Let us not forget the kid is 18 yrs old......Consider the physical part of the game he brings at 18 (which will only get better) once the mental aspect catches up he should be a great player. I too find myself getting caught up in the media stampede of this kid, but when you have time to reflect for his age he is doing ok. Last year he was playing with kids, this year superstars...give him time to grow up....Comment

Re: Nuggest vs Cavaliers
Yeah, Lebron is only 18 and Carmelo is only 19, yet Melo has the killer instinct. What I am trying to say is that no amount of hype or money can give Lebron what he currently lacks, you either have it or you do not. I hope that he begins to understand that he has to change his perception of basketball to succeed in the nba in order to become what the hype machine seems to have convinced most of the public he is. He has to sometimes be selfish and go for his in order to conquer opponents on the court. I am saying that it remains to be seen if he will acquire the skill set to do it. Melo has the skill set and the mind set (he acquired it in college, think, Melo led his team to a ncaa ring, how many freshman have ever done that?), to the point that he was telling Lebron during the game last night how to work on his jump shot (post game interview) Lebron supporters and endorsers are hoping that he acquires this through hype. That's not going to do it. He has to be it, and let it grow in him. Right now he doesn't have it. I am not saying he won't get it. I hope he does because I like him.Comment

Re: Nuggest vs Cavaliers
He's actually doing great. The hype will make it look like he's struggling. Basically he's a good dribbler, good passer, very athletic. He lacks court awarness on defense, he's not agressive enough, he can't shoot, not a good on the ball defender, should be a better rebounder. Give him 4-5 years though...when he's 22-23, and he should be the best player in the NBA.Comment

Re: Nuggest vs Cavaliers
novastar is right on......as of now, Lebron is only good for a fastbreak, cause he can't take anyone off the dribble and he won't even try. plus, he can't shoot. Not to mention the fact that he plays defense with his hands on his side. lebron wants to be a great player, correct me if I'm wrong. Well, although he certainly has some holes in his game, those holes can be worked on....the problem is, players who want to be great have some passion....believe me, anyone who wants to be great takes the challenges that the media throws at them, and lebron didn't take it.....he is use to the easy life in highschool and shows no passion at the nba levelComment

So what you're saying is 4 years from now, Lebron will be a better player than Kobe, Tmac, Pierce, Duncan, Dirk, Garnett, and Iverson...............That's some skills I'd love to see!!!!!!Comment
