Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
In the second half, Melo was the ONLY Knick to have anything going. Several of his shots in the first half were contested with the clock running down. Granted the offensive scheme that they were using was terrible, but Melo literally HAD to shoot a lot of those shots that he missed due to poor clock management by the Knicks.
In the second half, Melo was carrying them, single handedly keeping them somewhat in the game.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
I mean, blame the coach/ gameplan..whatever..
but there were no pick and rolls, ball movement at all....just one on one iso basketball
I'm sorry, repeated contested jumpers is never something you HAVE to do...Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Say what you will 24th, but when Melo receives the ball late in the clock, what's he supposed to do? Let the clock expire and turn it over? No, he shoots. Which is what I was getting at. The iso's were what led to the shot clock getting so low. Standing around, no movement, like you eluded to.Twitter - WTF_OS

Oh what's that? Carmelo Anthony took more shots than the rest of the starting lineup combined? Gee what a shocker...#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
And I don't see what else they could have done. Knicks shot 47% against one of the best defensive teams in the league. Bibby played as well as you could hope for, but he's not going to be a playmaker at this point. Amare was in foul trouble. JR is the only other real threat and he went 3-15. Offense did what it could, couldn't get enough stops, and when they did, couldn't secure the rebounds.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
