I feel the same way! And for some reason I feel myself coming around on hating LeBron a little bit. I don't know why. He just hasn't been as annoying lately and I'm sick of everyone hyping him up as like the least clutch player in basketball.

And lol at the "WE GOT A SITUATION!" gif.

I notice that as well. But I think it's a timing thing. (9 games is a long of time).

edit: Does anyone have a gif of Shane and Harden flopping into each other?

And secondly here is that last play again

LeBron knows he got away with one lol. But does it look like the Thunder had a play there. Because in my opinion. That is a terrible play call by Scott. I feel like they ran this play already in the game. Trying to get Durant down the baseline again for a easy bucket.

No one is aruging (Im sure as hell not) that the refs "never ever ever" calls fouls late in games. My point was specifically tied to last second, end of game scenarios. In those cases you have a less than 1/10 chance of a ref calling a foul on either the offensive or defensive player. And what we saw in that Boston/Heat series with both LBJ and Pierce fouling out was essentially Hailey's comet. How many time have we ever seen the two best wing players on the court foul out in the playoffs? Dont act like that KD/LBJ play was deviation from the norm. Right or wrong thats how the game's been called in those situations for years.

Its probably the way the media covers Lebron and the Heat. I want Lebron to play well so ESPN can't constantly keep talking about him or what the Heat didn't do if the Thunder win.

Need glasses for what? I clearly stated there was contact. I saw Rondo get slapped upside the head on a lay up attempt it it didn't get called the series before. Point being it happens.

As far as the score if guys can't adjust to the little contact Durant got on that play than that should be on them. It would prevent guys from doing the nonsense they do driving to the basket looking to be bailed out by the refs based on any form of contact.

I rather less game stoppage and all the unnecessary theatricals and whining for calls. If that means games in the 60's than I'd gladly take that.

That was the first time for me seeing that play, I missed the second half last night unfortunately, and from the way people talked about it I thought Durant got hacked, that's the kind of play you don't see get called very often in a late game situation. Regardless of whether that's right or not, its a fact.

                        Quick thoughts on Westbrook:

I dont really think he can faulted on his shot selection after taking some time to think about it.

How often do we seen anything drawn up for him offensively? He usually gets his on his own. Nothing is created for him to make things easier for him on offense or to increase his efficiency. He has to work so hard on offense, which leads to a lot of those "bad" shots.

To illustrate my point, compare him to Rose in the Bulls offense. Both are scoring, combo guards. Yet its Rose and not Westbrook that you see move around like one.

On offense, Rose doesnt always have the ball in his hands. A lot of the time, he gives up the rock when he brings it up. On offense, Rose moves around off ball A LOT. He'e coming off down screens, double screens, fades, and dribble hand offs. He moves around off ball like a scorer which helps free him up. Then, when he runs the pick and roll, his teammates are set up in great position, which allows Rose to dump it off to a big, kick out to a shooter, find someone slashing like Deng or Brewer, or finish it off himself with a lay in or jumper.

Westbrook doesnt have this luxury as he does not have plays designed for him like that. So its not so much that WB takes bad shots. Its that there arent many times on offense that he's really put in position to maximize his efficiency. Thats the reason he looks bad a lot of the time in the half court offense.

At least, thats what I've started to pick up on.

No one is acting like they never swallow they're whistles but you guys acting like a foul has never been called late in the game is ridiculous. Hailey's Comet on the LeBron/Pierce thing? Yeah, two superstars fouling out is Hailey's Comet, agreed. The refs calling a foul late in the game? Give me a break.

On an unrelated note, it's irritating when people talk about wanting to see LeBron win a ring so people can shut up about him. That's not going to happen. It's just funny to me that nobody ever said they don't want to see LeBron win a ring back when he could do no wrong and never got the blame for anything, but now that he can apparently do no right and gets majority of the blame for things in Miami it's all about wanting to see him win cause of all the press he gets. Hello this is the way LeBron's entire career has been. He's always been overhyped well beyond what he deserves and has benefitted greatly for it. Now that the hype train has moved in the opposite direction everybody should have pity for him and wanna see him win and expect the hype train to stop? The two years of negative overhype this dude has gotten is nothing compared to the seven years of positive overhype he's gotten. Bottomline, LeBron is going to be pumped to a nauseating level no matter what he does.

Little contact KD got ? Look at the slow-mo from the floor cam. LBJ hooked his arm on the inside early (and stayed with it) then proceeded to hit him a second time as he was going up for his shot.

If they let you do crap like that, not too many shots are gonna get made. I agree about the driving and flailing into defenders with already established position bail outs (Kobe and Tony Parker style) nonsense though. Gotta look at each play individually though and not group them all together like that.

Agree to disagree. That was an extremely make-able shot for Durant. He just missed. Was it a foul? Yes. But the contact there didn't make the difficulty of the shot increase very much at all.
