Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****

    OKC in 6.

Refs will give the Heat a game and the Heat will beat them another, most likely at home.

Thunder just have two many weapons, and defensive options. Sefolosha and Harden on either LeBron or Wade. Westbrook will torch whatever stiff is playing PG for the Heat and down low with Ibaka and Perkins, Bosh will be forced out of whatever position he likes to get in and will be abused by their size.

Also wouldn't be shocked at all if the Thunder beat them in 4 or 5. Outside of the Big 3, the Heat are just not a good team, at all and I feel that will be exposed pretty badly. Especially seeing the Thunder are just as good, if not better at the game the Heat like to play, and that's getting out in transition, which as we've seen, defensively is one of the Heat's weak points.

I have no idea who to pick in this one

the key to this series is Chris Bosh imo

I want OKC to win if it will be decided before game 7. If they take it to game 7, I don't care who wins... let the best team win that day.

Heat in 6. I already got my tickets for games 3 and 4.

I also think the key to this series is Chris Bosh. He's going to have to play close to 100% for the Heat to win. It's going to be close, but I think the Thunder are the better team and will win it in 6 or 7.

Agreed either way I'm going to be fine with the final outcome. Either the young, and hungry Thunder get their first taste of glory. Or LeBron James who I feel gets far more criticism than is warranted will get his first Championship.

I think in the end Heat will take it in 7.

Good read on this series and why it shouldn't be labeled as Good vs Evil like it eventually will:

The Thunder were built through the draft, while the Heat’s genesis was in free agency. Is the former more honorable? Don’t be so quick to assume so.

In the end, Pat Riley convinced Wade to stay, recruited Chris Bosh to join him and, in the coup de grace, landed the biggest fish of all in LeBron James.

Translation: Back in 2008, All 3 superstars agreed to come to Miami because Wade wanted friends there, Lebron was going to dickride Wade but will eventually become the leader, and Chris Bosh for the fashion stores down in Miami.

Anthony is awful offensively, but he brings a lot to the team defensively. Don't think they're any worse than having to give Fisher and Collison significant minutes.
Really? I actually think Collison is one of the best bench big men in the league. Really efficient, can shoot from 16 feet in, is a good free throw shooter for a big, and plays with an inordinate amount of energy.

I like Collison too. He really impressed me because of his playoffs energy.

                            OKC in 6.

Wade struggled to get to the rim and finish vs the Celtics. He is going to have problems vs when Ibaka & Perk are down low although I see Spolestra going small a lot forcing Brooks to keep Perk on the bench.

Wade & LBJ are going to log ~40+ mins a night for nearly the 3rd series in a row. I don't know how long anyone can keep that up with the added dimension that comes in the playoffs.

I'm gonna disagree and say he's pretty much the perfect bench player for OKC, other than Harden.

Don't forget about Daequan Cook in this series either y'all. If he comes in and gets hot, that's another weapon Miami has to worry about.

I love Collison. He reminds me of Haslem and Haslem is probably my favorite Heat player pre-big 3.
