Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)
I just changed my mind, I want the Bulls to match Asik. Noah will probably go down at some point during the season, and Asik is the best backup big in the game.
One of the Bulls main strengths is their depth, and ability to have the bench make runs because of great defense from Taj and Asik.
Losing Omer would be a big blow to our depth, and a lot of time he finishes out games while Noah is on the bench.
Forman has said they will make basketball decisions and not financial decisions so we'll see what they do...
EDIT: We could potentially take him for the two years he's at $5M, and then trade him because I'm sure someone will want a $15M expiring contractLast edited by Weeks; 07-04-2012, 02:35 PM.Chicago Bulls

I don't wanna trade Shump either. However, his injury scares me into thinking he may not be the same player and I know I'd kick myself if he ends up like Bill Walker. But it's funny that we're still building a D'Antoni style team without D'Antoni.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Yeah, that is a different situation. Last time you almost gutted your team for a player who could have just signed outright in the summer.
However I think this time around, you for sure do it for Shump. Last time it was multiple pieces and assets for one player, this time it's a point guard for a point guard. It's a no-brainer IMO.Comment

Embedding was disabled, but here's some footage of James White overseas.. it was made 10 months ago so I'm assuming it's the latest and most recent footage of him.
Looks like he's worked on his range.. and his two handed dunks from the free throw line are

Ok I like the knicks right, their not my team but I like em and I was thinking of how they could get better and a lot of knicks fans dont think that stat and melo mix. So if steve nash was in the mix I started thinking josh smith. He's expressed the desire to be traded and that would be a good fit, I think because he did have a better season and is more explosive than amari even tho stat isnt 100% I just think that josh smith could mesh more better than amari and it could possibly bring some money in from a brooklyn vs knicks rivalry matchup with joe being on the nets, not to not mention if they bring in nash and keep jeremy lin then?..........I can see my ny homies head getting even biggerComment

I think so long as Houston offers a backloaded deal, Lin is gone. I know everyone says he has to stay but the Knicks are going after Nash for a reason. Retaining Lin by matching the potential Houston offer would destroy the Knicks cap situation in two seasons.
They'd be stuck with the roster they have with no opportunities to improve for four seasons. FOUR. That means even if they retain Novak and Smith, if those two and Lin don't play to their contracts, they'd be all they've got to support Stars.
Lin is gone. Just like Landry Fields.
Also Atlanta would never take Stoudemire in exchange for Josh Smith. I don't see a scenario in which the Knicks would want to offer the pieces to make it work. I don't see a scenario in which anything could entice the Hawks to even agree to that deal.

Knicks are already capped out the next 3 years. For the 4th year Amare, Melo, Chandler all come off the books, so they'll have plenty of space, and Lin will be an expiring. Only negative to matching is Dolan's wallet, and while he may have concerns about the luxury tax, I'm sure Lin brings in a ton of money to help with that. I don't see any way they let him go.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)
I've though it over, reading comments EG made before FA he realized NO controlled whatever he does and seemed fine to the idea of coming back. So if he's forced back I don't think he'll be completely upset, we'll see once they meet again.
If a S&T happens it's not the end of world either, Rivers can play/start at his natural SG spot, even more future cap space, and probably some good/decent assets from PHX, and at least I wouldn't have to worry about a superstar having injury concerns(Granted Rivers/Davis can still prove that wrong)Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
