Ray Allen is a huge signing for Miami. That's just going to open up so much space for Wade and James to operate. Scary.

Agree with you, had he gone anywhere else (well maybe other than the Lakers) I think the fans would have received him well when he came back, the fact he went to Miami the Celtics biggest rival in the East at the moment, yeah he'll definitely be getting booed. I'd be shocked if he wasn't.

        Woj agrees:

        Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Allen believes the capital he's built up playing for UConn and the Celtics would supercede signing with Miami. He's probably misjudged that.

I agree. Before the Finals and before the last few games in Boston in ECF, their "other guys" were very inconsistent from downtown.. Having Ray Ray will automatically open up lanes for James and Wade and with Lebron's passing ability, he can dish it off to Ray

No kidding, they turned it on after he was offered around not like they were playing amazing and tried to move him for a different piece.

Hell they offered Paul Pierce to the Nets for their first round pick, the Nets opted for Gerald Wallace instead, you don't see Pierce whining about it.

I like Ray Allen and am glad he helped win a championship for the C's but this is tough to stomach, going to our biggest rival to chase another ring, that is some serious treason right there.

Allen isn't that big of a deal anymore but he's a good piece off the bench, and hopefully between Allen's aging and Wade's aging, they can become a superstar SG. Certainly better than whatever trash was backing up Wade.

Either way, can't try to trade a guy then be shocked when he leaves. Sucks for the Celtics, but I think they upgraded with Terry anyway.

Agree, JET can create his own shot much better, pass better and can get to the basket even thou we would be better with Allen AND Terry getting Terry is a good upgrade.

I think C's will just match any Stemier offer, sign Wilcox for the min and re-sign Pietrus.

I just hope Avery Bradley is able to recover from Shoulder surgery. Big spotlight on him now.

Ray Allen shot 45.3% from 3 in the regular season. If he didn't hurt his foot he would have shot the ball better in the playoffs.

I think it's safe to say in this case, it wasn't as important as people thought it was judging from his and Kidd's comments.

Yeah I don't see that either, if they get Dwight then absolutely those 3 can win, but just Deron and JJ isn't going to be going past the 2nd round.

Yup, if Dallas could have offered that I don't think there's a chance he stays in Brooklyn, I'd rather play with Dirk than JJ if the contracts are equal, but give me that extra 20 mil and I'll take JJ.
The Russian has already said he doesn't care about the luxury tax and would be willing to pay it with no problem.

As for how they'll improve the team under the new CBA, well....I'll let the experts(King and Marks)handle that because I recall once we traded for Joe Johnson, everyone took John Hollinger's word as gospel when he said that took us out the running for Duhwight when it actuality it didn't.

I'll just end it with this:
