Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)

FWIW, the reported deal back in December when they almost traded Howard(before Ownership told Otis Smith no) was:

    Magic receives:
    Lopez
    Brooks
    Crash
    4 1st rd picks

    Nets receive:
    Howard
    Turkoglu

    Blazers receive:
    1st rd pick

So for my hard core transfer followers, what's the likelihood that the Bulls get a guy like Aaron Brooks?

That deal is god awful, Magic lose Earl Clark, and J Rich, but keep Hedo? Also take on Luke Walton? And have to take on Brook to an inflated contract? And get middle draft picks? Come on now. That's hot garbage. They can do better.

Can he just leave to Brooklyn though? If they don't land him through a trade with Orlando, they don't have the space to sign him outright next year do they?

Otherwise, what is the point of holding off on trading him, even if they can get the same deal later? Nothing's going to change unless Bynum says he'll sign long term or Duhwight says he'll sign long term in LA.
It's better for orlando and la to just do the trade. Neither has a leverage on the trade.Otherwise i would probably take Houston rockets trade offer much better than the nNets.

They won't have cap space, need to trade for him.

You're right. But he's unrestricted and can basically walk away from anywhere he doesn't want to be (I'm looking at you Houston).

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

So we are going to ignore the 4 first round picks they are getting and just focusing on the players?

Especially since Brooklyn is trying to trade MarShon for a high end 1st rounder, that deal is about fair. We all know that the Magic aren't keeping him, and the offers aren't going to get much better. We sure that Bynum would want to go to Orlando and rebuild there? I doubt it. He'd bolt as soon as he hit free agency, IMO.

And the Luke Walton thing is just to have salaries match up. Only 1 year left on his contract. Beats taking on Hump for 3 years.

Extremely off topic but I can't help but laugh seeing purple skelator in that pose in your avatar right above Ed Reed in the purple jersey with the same pose.

Bynum's a rental if he doesn't agree to a contract. Orlando's not competing for a title next year with or without Bynum so going after a rental makes no sense.
