I really don't think it's that out there.

Me Personally still have OKC 1st, LA 2nd but SA is right there with them.

I know that was the case under their previous ownership.

Not sure if that's still the case now under their new ownership. Sixer Fans can probably answer this better than I could.

I do know that a case can be made for the Atlantic Division being the toughest division in the league though.

They are undoubtedly a top contender, but to call them the overall favorites is such a stretch.
Not sure how calling the Lakers the favorite in the West is disrespectful to the Heat...but okay

It does, but LAL had a few flaws on defense. We will have to wait and see on what else LA does, because right now they have a great starting 5, and no bench. Jamison helps offensively, but he is at Nash level defensively. They also lack quality depth in the back court, I cant see LA winning a championship right now if they have to play their starters heavy minutes.

Stephen A. Just talked with D-12. D-12 said that he is ecstatic to finally be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He is very happy that he is finally able to compete for a World Championship. He does not have any regards of being a Laker. D-12 is very excited to be a Laker. Why would someone be excited if they didn't want to re-sign?

I still say the Thunder scare me, yes that series was close and could have gone either way, but...

Coulda, shoulda, woulda's don't count here, OKC won and that's that.

I like the Thunder right now until they meet in the playoffs and the Lakers prove otherwise. I'm a fan yes, but I'm not a blind homer. I'm definitely looking at this objectively & reasonably.

We'll see what happens, but for right now I'm elated about this deal. We are better for it, not worse off. Besides, anything can happen, we may not even see these two teams meet in the playoffs.

And lmao @ people already posing worse case scenarios for the Lakers. Such bad karma guys, not cool at all.

Don't be that person, rise above the hate lmao.

What else is he gonna say, "No, I hate it here. The fans are crap and team is old?"

He has to say positive stuff about the Lakers, man. He was just traded there....

Dude is just excited it's over and he's away from Orlando, a lot can happen in a year he may very well resign after this season but it'd be stupid for him to resign now and not see what else is out there

Sure I'd be excited too, to be traded to a team and have a chance to win a (and that is a singular a)ring, but after a season in LA he will be looking at a fatigued roster that only has another year or two of contention, so it's unrealistic to believe Howard will ignore that and sign a new 5 year contract, he will look at other teams and offers, he's gonna want more rings, if he gets one in LA, fine but I don't see him getting more than one ring in LA.
