Denver can be a real party crasher, Mozgov has really impressed me this summer in the Olympics and Theyre loaded on the wings. Throw in Faried & McGee upfront with Mozgov, these guys can be really, really good.

Man, i havent been this excited about the NBA in a long time. So many storylines & a full 82 to boot.

I'm pretty sure any true NBA fan can attest to that or have we so quickly forgotten what has happened to juggernauts in the past? Nothing is guaranteed in the NBA in the past 30 years you can probably name half the titles that were just WTF moments?

I'll say this there's nothing wrong with being excited it's natural, but don't go proclaiming any kings before they receive a crown otherwise you'll find yourself looking like a damn fool at the end of the day.
I've been trying to reiterate this for the past few pages, exactly.

Last I checked, OKC still has the following:

        - NBA's leading scorer
        - NBA's leading shot blocker
        - NBA's 6th man of the year
        - NBA's most dynamic PG
        - NBA's best homecourt advantage

Oh yeah, they beat the Lakers and five and are defending conference champions. I think LA is definitely better, but that is mainly because they have a PG now. Howard is an upgrade but I don't think adding Howard and losing Bynum makes you light years better.

If the Lakers add some role players, I'll get worried. As it stands, I think OKC still has a great shot at going deep again.

Yes you are right... role players. If Miami can get freaking Ray,I would hope L.A can get somebody.

Oh yeah I remember that. Do you remember how he was 37% against the Heat in the Finals. I think this year it will be different pretty sure Harden will be watching Kobe in the Finals. Maybe OKC could of won if Harden actually hit his shot's against Miami.

I almost forgot about all those guys until you brought them up. After years of terrible decisions by management, things are finally starting to look up for the Sixers.

                              My thoughts on the Magics

Honestly the Magic could have definitely gotten better value from the Nets or Rockets.

I understand that their main priority was to shed salary cap & gain draft picks in return for Dwight but this is the way that I see it:
                              • Magic relieve themselves of Jason Richardson's contract ($18.6 million/3 years) but then take on the load of Al Harrington's contract ($27.6 million/4 years) & Arron Afflalo's contract ($38 million/5 years); although I do believe Afflalo will have a break-out year following this trade. So in a nut shell, the Magic basically took on more load than actually shedding it.
                              • The Magic trade Dwight Howard in return for no all-star calibre player or any lottery-pick rookies. Instead they receive 3 future protected first-round picks (which probably won't even be lottery bound)
                              • Magic fans can only hope that either Mo Harkless or Nikola Vucevic turn out to be a blessing in disguise (ala Marc Gasol trade)

                              My thoughts on the Lakers

Definitely a top 3 team now in the league and top 2 in the West. They've got possibly the best front court rotations in Dwight, Pau, Jordan Hill & Jamison. My main concerns with the Lakers include the following:
                              • Lack of depth especially with the perimeter bench. Their best perimeter player off the bench so far is Steve Blake, but rumour has it, they may sign Barbosa.
                              • Dwight Howard's back. If he misses time during training camp & the first few weeks of the season, this could hinder the team's chemistry & progression.
                              • Lack of athleticism (apart from Dwight) against the likes of Thunder & Heat.
                              • All in all its a "title or bust" scenario for the Lakers this upcoming season as come 2014 Playoffs, Nash will be 40, Kobe creeping 35, Gasol creeping 34, MWP 33, Dwight Howard UFA.

                              NBA 2k13
Initially I was planning to start an Association with the Bobcats. Since this trade, I've now changed my mind and will be running a franchise with the Magic .. should be interesting ...
