I could. Nothing fancy though. Can't palm. I'm white European lol. I'm 32 now. Can still jump high though, slap the rim, get high rebounds and block some shots. Only layups now. I'm 6'3 / 6'4 .

I need about one more inch, until I can barely touch rim. I'm 14, going on 15, I'm about 5'10 and don't really play basketball. I shoot around with friends who do play (for our school, etc.) but yeah. I'm a baseball guy

In terms of dunking in games, I definitely find it more effective to jump off 1 foot. I was strictly a two foot dunker at one point and as I mentioned earlier, seemingly every time I had a dunking opportunity, either my momentum would mess up and I'd lose my footing or the slight slowing of my pace allowed defenses to recover and foul.

Though I guess, if one's goal is strictly to get a single dunk down in practice by any means possible, I suppose it'd be up to where you're strongest as a jumper. Some people are built like Jason Richardson and can really only jump off two feet. Other folks are more effective off one, like LeBron James. For me though, building momentum and taking off of one foot was the way to go when I was first trying to dunk.

I used to be a one-foot dunker from ages 16 to 24, but as I got older, I needed to use both feet lol. Wish I had my springs of old.

              yes.

5'10" with 7'6" reach. Reach is generally overlooked in regards to dunking. For instance, I have a friend who is 5'8" and a ridiculously talented dunker, so much so that he has a repertoire of standing vertical dunks--his reach is about 8'0".

Man, I wish I could dunk, I don't want to do a 360 nothing like that, I'll be happy with a David Robinson dunk, standing about 5'7 1/2...I can only wish, I'm a lil jitter bug out there on the court, and plus I'm stocky so I get into that body when I'm going to the rim and with that Joe Dumars D

                  Re: Can you dunk?

Can I dunk today? Hell no. I'm about 15 lbs too heavy and haven't played basketball in a year.

Could I dunk? Yes. Never in a game just messing around in the gym trying to dunk. I am a 100% 2-foot jumper. I can't get up off one foot.

As a giant David Robinson fan, I lightheartedly object to his name being used in reference to a beginner's pedestrian slam. Robinson was a pretty solid dunker for a 7'1'' center, breaking out reverses and 360's from time to time. For some reason, the 360 video I looked up on YouTube is glitching on me though, so unfortunately I don't have the link.

On the flip side, Joe Dumars was my second favorite player (after Robinson), so I respect that reference. Also, maybe his dunking ability would be better fitting for your first sentence. He actually dunked a couple of times, but none of them have showed up on the interwebs yet. They were more or less slightly stronger versions of this:

Don't think like that, I'm 5'5" and I'm getting closer and closer to being able to throw down basic solo dunks, I can get tip dunks and tosses off the backboard, though. I've been doing squats, calf raises and other leg exercises and right now my vertical is up to 36", a few more inches and I should be able to dunk on my own.

                              how old are you?

aside from your squats and other strength exercises, are you doing plyometrics? not the bastardized Americanized variant, but the classical, time based ones? Also are you stretching enough to increase your flexibility? plus sit ups sit ups and more sit ups!
