Let's not start this again. Location doesn't mean jack for superstar players in terms of endorsements. People tried to use the endorsement nonsense making the case for LeBron signing with the Knicks and we see how that turned out. If you're a superstar player, you can get endorsements no matter where you're playing.

I can see both sides, but I wouldn't put so much stock in a player that reneged on one team already 3-4 times. And LA means nothing. It wasn't even his first choice to begin with.
Any time you trade for a player with an expiring contract, there is always a risk of losing him.
My gut still tells me he'll ultimately end up in Dallas. Don't know why, but they'll have the cap space to make a big splash this offseason. Bring in Howard and a guy like Jarrett Jack?Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

I assume Toronto is moving Calderon or Lowry by the deadline. Who do people think it will be and where do you think are the best destinations?
I think a team like Utah could use a Kyle Lowry."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Howard/Dirk/Marion/Mayo/(Insert Guard Here)
If they go out and get another PG like Jack and strengthen their bench, they'd be right back in thick of the West for at least another year or two, and with Dirk's contract expiring the following year. I'm sure he would resign for less and give them even more flexibility moving forward.
I wouldn't rule them out. At this point they are much more likely suitor than Brooklyn is.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Millsap is more likely to be traded, the Jazz probably want to keep Big Al long term."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

All that come off the books next season aside from Marion and Dirk, on top of potentially 5 draft picks in the upcoming draft.

Lol the Nets should not put the Lakers out of their misery....
I thin Dwight will leave since it doesn't seem like he likes playing with Kobe. I'd love for Dwight to just leave and the Lakers get nothing in return.Comment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
It's funny how people who have never met Dwight Howard know exactly what he's going to do. The LeBron James thread is filled with LeBron in Knick jerseys, or people saying he's going to New Jersey, hahah.
How about we don't start with what Dwight is going to do, cause I'm sure at this point, he doesn't know what he's going to do.Comment

Haha c'mon son, don't do that to me. I'm not upset, it's just hilarious. It's a Trade Rumor thread, and Dwight Howard under any circumstances is getting traded before the trade deadline. Knowing the Lakers, he's not going anywhere this season, they believe in him (which is odd) and knowing Jim Buss, he's definitely not giving him up.
As far as trading Pau Gasol, as much as I love him, one of the most skilled big men in the league, he's being forced out of the offense, and he's not fitting in with whatever system they have, I would've thought the Lakers were more likely to amnesty him than to trade him because based on his performance, you're not going to get much for him.
P.S. They could cut Jamison and Meeks thoughComment
