I put no stock in that Dwight/Nets rumor.
They have no reason or any need to trade for him at all whereas a year ago they did.
Do not want nor need.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
None of the Lakers's trades rumors make sense so far.
And I really can't see them getting some good deals right now. If they make a move I can't see it beeing a great one like stealing half of the Mavericks for Pau Gasol.Comment

What about something like Gasol for Amar'e? Lakers get athleticism, and someone who can open the lane for Nash a bit but lose defense (not like D*antoni cares about D), while the Knicks get the versatility of Gasol. Add a few cogs to get the salary cap right of course.Comment

I don't know why you would want to trade Rip for Wayne Ellington. Ellington isn't that good."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
Well when you start looking at the roster for this year the only piece you're really losing is Carter. Carter would be tough to replace as he is far and away the best player coming off the bench. Gasol would obviously be a huge upgrade from Kaman and Beaubois and Wright are out of the lineup in Dallas right now and especially Beaubois seems to be going nowhere with the Mavs.
Getting Gasol obviously hurts financial flexibility, but every day it looks more and more like neither Howard nor CP3 will end up in Dallas next year.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars

Not to mention really the most PRUDENT decision the Mavs could make for the future would be to trade Dirk for some young promising guys. But no one wants that to happen.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
He's not going to trade Dirk man, and Dirk's not really the problem.
Honestly, he can do what San Antonio has done with Duncan or he can just blow it all up... go after guys or build through the draft.
This is my issue with teams who either wait too long to transition or hold on to coaches for too long and the team they put together pretty much collapses by the time they realize its too late.
OJ is not the guy you want to build around or even your #2 option with Dirk to be honest with you. Cubes turned the organization around before, I'm just not sure if he has the patience and energy for it anymore.Comment
