Don't be shocked to see Chris Kaman mentioned in a trade. Yeah he's an expiring contract but he's already, after one game, expressed displeasure with only getting 10-15 minutes a game, which really is what it looks like is gonna work best for him and the other Mavs centers and, if Bernard James continues to start, Elton Brand is going to continue to be the first center off the bench and Carlisle may elect to go to Brandan Wright before going to Kaman.

All that being said though, nobody wants Kaman lol. I could've seen the Heat with him before they landed Andersen. Maybe the Lakers? They don't really have a real backup center since D'Antoni plays Gasol as a 4 really.

Season is done? Probably. "Blow it up" You are not getting equal value for Pierce or KG because no team is going to trade young assets and DP's for Old Vets.

I also find it hard to believe Ainge is going to trade Pierce.

It's more likely they make a small trade and just see what happens. and hope while they are not a better team w/o Rondo the rest of team finally wakes up a plays better.

      It stinks. I know.

You were never going to get equal value for either one of those guys so I don't really see your point. You're not going to get equal value for KG so just sit on him and get absolutely nothing when his deal is up? Nobody ever gets equal value when trading stars so you just have to work to get the biggest, best haul you can. See Nuggets, Denver.

If the Celtics are smart they'll trade KG and PP, and probably Terry as well for some young assets, you could get some good value for those guys.

true, probably shouldn't of used "equal meant value in general.

Are the Mavericks ever going to trade Dirk?

              Genuine question.

Don't see how you can flip now with the C's. They aren't winning a championship without Rondo and after seeing how they've played throughout the season with a fully healthy Rondo, I don't see how they're going to lose him, get another point guard and be better.
I said that before the season even started my dude.

Not halfway through with our bench over achieving and Boozer playing the best he ever has.

                Good try.

I think the only play Ainge has (unless something crazy falls in his lap) is to ride this thing out and let the Pierce/Garnett ect contracts expire. He's not get anything of long term value for them. No one going give away promising assets for guys who have max 1or 2 real productive years left in the League.

Pierce almost got traded last year. This year draft is weak, so the Celtics are damn if they do and damn if they don't make a move.

Which is why I keep bringing up that it isn't like the NFL.

Difference is Spurs have the best record in the league, Celtics are fighting for a 8th seed. We need to move on and get what ever assets we can get from PP and the rest of our team before were left with nothing.

What teams do you guys think would be interested in acquiring Pierce or Garnett?

Ignoring which teams have the capability or assets to acquire either one of these guys, these seem like the only teams that would be interested in my opinion:

                            Garnett:
Brooklyn (could definitely use an upgrade at PF, are in win-now mode, but I don't know if they really have anything to offer/have any cap space to make a trade)
Denver (certainly have the assets, not sure if they'd be interested in trading for an aging guy though)

                            Pierce:
Atlanta (Their GM seems interested in saving cap space, so Pierce's opt-out clause or whatever that is could be enticing)
Milwaukee (If Hammond wants to make a move to try to solidify Milwaukee into a playoff team, SF is the one position where they could really use some help, and they have some young assets that they could offer back)
                            NFL: Bills
                            NBA: Bucks
                            MLB: Cubs
                            NCAA: Syracuse

I would be extremely surprised. Honestly with the way things are going it would probably be a smart move, a package of Dirk, Marion and Carter, or trading them to different places would bring back a lot of talent, but the attitude around the Mavs organization is not to have to do that kind of rebuilding, so I would be pretty surprised if it happened.

The Mavs are in a different situation than the Celtics. Rondo is the leader of that team with veterans around him, Dirk is still the leader of the Mavs.

Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan recently joined Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki as the only NBA players with no-trade clauses in their contracts.

I'll repeat, Garnett isn't going anywhere unless its his choice. No trade clause. He can't be "shipped out".

Nor will Duncan, Kobe or Dirk. All have no trade clauses.
