They need to get rid of MDA honestly. You have 2 of the best post scorers in the NBA and you bench Pau to go small so you can run with an old team LOL. Why did LA hire this man with his failure in New York?

They're not gona build a team that pleases D'Antoni. Honestly he's just there for the show right now. He and his weak system have been exposed. If he wasn't the second coach of the season with a big contract he'd be gone fishing alraedy. The players (ie Kobe) have taken over. He's there to call timeouts and focus on rotations wich surprisingly have been pretty good theses past 3 games.

Looks like Memphis is getting closer to saying, eff this team

The Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors are moving closer to finalizing a Rudy Gay trade, but are still searching for a third team to take Jose Calderon.

The Grizzlies would receive a young member of the Raptors and a future pick, according to sources.

"With so many quality point guards, they're struggling to find a spot for Calderon," one league general manager said.

Memphis has sought to acquire Terrence Ross, but the Raptors have ruled him untouchable.

Couldn't Boston use Calderon right now?

Last time I checked he's still an above average option at the PG position.

And I doubt at this point they would have to give up much for him.

Also, Pau Gasol went off last night after the Lakers beat the Hornets about his role on the team. He said he doesn't appreciate sitting down in the 4th quarter, this is the maddest I've ever heard him.

Knowing the Raptors trade history, the pick the Grizzlies are getting, will be a top 10 pick in 2014 or something. Raptors already gonna be (indirectly) responsible for giving the Thunder a top 10 pick in the 2013 draft(Raptors gave up that pick to Rockets in deal for Lowry, and Rockets gave up that pick in the deal for Harden).


Would be great if this ends up a Calderon and pick for Gay deal, and then Raptors manage to trade Bargnani and other things(hoping we can get rid of Fields too) for Gasol.

3 team deal I'd love to see happen:
Raptors get Gay and Gasol
Lakers get Calderon and Bargnani
Grizzlies get the 1st round draft pick from Raptors, Fields, Kleiza and possibly a player or pick from Lakers

Raptors starting lineup of:
JV,Gasol,Gay,DeRozan,Lowry would be a fairly good lineup. A team I could see winning at least .500 of their games(depending on the bench depth)

He may not start, but he definitely needs to close games. I don't know what's going on in Antoni's mind. This guy is a terrible talent evaluater (probably spelled wrong) and stupid with his rotations.

Another rumored deal I heard was that Mavs get Calderon,Davis and a player from Grizzlies. Grizzlies get Kaman,VC and 1st round pick from Raptors. And Raptors get Gay.


Really don't like that deal. Raptors giving up Calderon and basically 2 first round picks to get Gay. Raptors keep on talking about building a young team, so how does giving up a 1st pick in this past offseason, another during this season, and a player we recently drafted with a 1st round pick, prove that point?

Yeah, not sure what they would want, but in a three-team deal they might be able to skate by giving Melo or Wilcox just to take him off the Raptors hands and free them up cap space.

If I'm Boston, I'm definitely entertaining offers. Obviously Bradley and Sullinger are two pieces you desperately want to keep though.

They have Johnson,JV,Davis,Acy and Bargnani at the PF/C spots.

Main priority is to get a starting SF,after that, next priority is getting rid of Bargnani and finding a starting big man(Johnson or JV will start at C most likely,and the other,along with Davis would be backup big men).

So hopefully Raptors are able to get rid of Calderon, get that starting SF, then get rid of Bargnani and get that starting big man. The big man the Raptors need is someone who has to be real good at defense. Raptors one of worst rebounding teams in the league, so hopefully they're able to get a big man who players have hard time getting past, and someone who can get rebounds for them.

Maybe Sullinger isn't that bad of a deal. If Grizzlies don't even want Calderon to begin with, maybe Raptors could include Bargnani in that deal instead and get Gay out of it, then deal Calderon and get Sullinger in a deal.
