Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread

There isn't an exact trade rumor to go off on, but since Gasol has been on the block for the Lakers I cooked up a little something just to test the waters.

Lakers: Get considerably smaller, but faster. Dwight Howard's shoulder is scary so maybe they'll dump Dwight instead, but this opens it up for Dwight to be the main post.

Timberwolves: Get Gasol, who they've coveted for a while know. Omri Casspi represents a replacement to what they give up, much like what the Raptors did when they basically Turned Rudy Gay into Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye. It hurts their versatility but I think it evens out.

Cavaliers: They had to come in and absorb a contract. This actually makes them better as well, but it can ultimately clog their cap room more than they'd like to.

Why would the Cavs do that? They would want Williams. Byron Scott wanted him and Irving a few years ago.

Interested to see who you guys think will be Traded next? Will there be Any Superstars/All-Stars on the Move OR will it just be Role Players who are traded? I think with the State of the NBA WIN NOW philosophy we may see some very interesting Movement Before the Deadline.

Some of My Ideas of Trades that COULD happen. Some would have to have players thrown in to work.

Lakers Gasol, to Suns Scola, Morris

Lakers Gasol,, Duhon, Ebanks to Pistons Monroe, Villanueva, Maggette

Kings Moving either Evans or Cousins

Jazz Moving Radja Bell to a Contender

        Bobcats moving Ramon Sessions

76ers moving Dorell Wright to a Contender looking for Shooting and Depth

Like the thought, Gasol to Twolves is a strong possibility but the Cavs get nothing in this deal. They'd need to net a first rounder from the Twolves I think to take on AK47s contract.

I honestly see the Lakers trading D12 away, moving Gasol back to center, and getting a starting PF/bench depth back for Dwight. They're going to lose him in FA, he doesn't want to be there, he doesn't want the pressure of being compared to Shaq/Kareem/Wilt and he's showing how mentally weak he is. LA is not for Dwight ... he's heading off to somewhere else in FA.
          Any comments are welcome.

            1. That's a steal for the Lakers, Suns would not want Gasol's contract.
            2. See #1.
            3. Agree will most likely move Evans.

I'd like to see Tyreke moved as well..he's wasting away in Sacto, and looks worse than in previous years.

I could see the Trade below going thru. Tyreke just needs some Veterans(KG, Pierce) to get him focused. Plus IF it doesnt work out then they just let Tyreke walk at the end of year. It works for Salary reasons as well. Might have to get a 3rd team involved so Sacramento gets some picks.

                Boston gets: Evans, Garcia, Honeycutt
                Sacramento: Green, Barbosa, Collins

Here is a 3 Way deal

Boston gets: J.J. Redick, Tyreke Evans
Sacramento gets: Jeff Green, Jason Collins, Plus Draft Picks
                Orlando gets: Demarcus Cousins, Barbosa

The guy needs some player development and a team serious about winning. Right now they have him looking like John Wall undeveloped and not going to get better because its nothing there to reach for.

He definitely has talent but he needs to be somewhere else.

Thats a good deal. Wonder if Sac town would do it but that's a good trade.

Of course that's a good deal. Sacramento gets robbed and Boston comes out the winner.

Orlando would have to give up Vucevic as well if that trade is going down.

Sacramento would do the Trades to get Draft Picks, mostly from Orlando. Yeah Vucevic would have to go. I was messing around with the NBA Trade Machine when I made these deals. I think Evans has ALOT of Rondo's game(not as good of passer) and if you throw in Redick, i think Boston would be Very Interesting come Playoff time.

So the Cavs basically give up Omri Casspi for Andrei Kireilenko? Cavs fans should love that.

If we got Vucevic and draft picks (preferably next year/2014) from Orlando I could see us pulling the trigger.

As it is we lose Demarcus and Evans for nothing. nah, not even we would do something as stupid as that, especially considering our lack of size to begin with.
