Of course, that might not happen if the Bulls make a move by Thursday's trade deadline. League sources said last week the Raptors were told the Carlos Boozer and Nate Robinson deal for Andrea Bargnani and John Lucas III was available whenever they wanted it.


Raptors should do that deal right now! They're not getting a better deal for sure. Not just Bargnani for Boozer, but Lucas for Nate is huge steal for Raptors.

Also, if it happens, Raptors should hold their own dunk contest.
Nate vs Gay vs DeRozan vs Ross!

Lol Lucas going back to the Bulls seems funny to me, but it would be good for the Rap's I think.

I honestly believe, and I may be flammed, that the Raps can do very well to finish the season and maybe be a 7-8th seed (Or higher) next year with all the talent they have.

Just my take, I could be wrong but you never know.

lol, that report is sad. Raptors haven't faced Lakers since January 20th. Rudy Gay was traded there on February 1st.

And even if anyone told Rudy Gay that, how would that be bad that he's in Toronto? He got traded to the team where his best friend plays, regardless what team that is, I'd consider that a positive if you get traded to play with your best friend.

Booz is not impressed.

That trade is tough to make work in the trade machine, only thing I could throw together quick was Howard and Jamison for Rondo, Bass and Collins.

Dunno why the Celtics would do this trade though, or really any involving Howard and Rondo. Doubt Howard is going to really want to stay in Boston. Unless they just wanna clear cap space and dumping Bass would help with that as well, he's clearly not part of their future.

EDIT: Replaced Bass with Jeff Green and it still worked but no way Boston does that, although I'm sure LA would love it.

Maybe LA would give up Nash?

Yeah I think it works actually. Celtics dump two pretty big contracts for two expiring contracts and throw their name in the Dwight sweepstakes this summer. Meanwhile the Lakers get their post-Kobe player in Rondo and get a solid rotation guy in Bass or if they some how manage to get Green (I think they'd have to give Boston a draft pick to get him), another good young guy for the future.

If this trade happens the Rondo for Howard trade makes some sense. I'm sure they could swing Jordan or even do a 3 team trade between themselves, Clippers, and Lakers..

Just did the Trade Machine and it said this could go through.

Clippers get: Kevin Garnett
Lakers get: Rajon Rondo and DeAndre Jordan
Celtics get: Eric Bledsoe and Dwight Howard

Is where I suggested a 3 team trade might be possible. Celtics get Bledsoe and Howard back for Rondo and Garnett, the Lakers get Rondo and DeAndre as a throw in and the Clippers get Garnett (who it seems like they are specifically targeting).

Has nothing to do with trying to pump up the Lakers at all. I'm just willing to discuss the merits of a possible trade here. And, according to the rumor to the trade machine this leaves both teams with equivalent value in terms of win shares/PER.

I love Rondo but he doesn't fit in the Lakers's roster. He needs to be surrounded by great jumpshooters in order to be effective and space the floor.

As far as the Clippers one... Aside from giving them one more run out of respect for what they've done, if the end goal is championships, you take that deal. That all depends on how you value Jordan though.
