Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread

76ers were offered Josh Smith awhile ago(in a deal involving Hawes,Turner) but 76ers said no.

Wonder if some 3 team deal could happen:

    Hawks get:Hawes,Turner
Raptors get:Smith,(optional 1st round pick depending on if Smith resigns or not)
    76ers get:Bargnani,something else

everybody is about the team on the Wizards..except for Crawford, dude wants to get his, but that's because he's playing on a terrible team..if he went to a playoff team I believe he be more about team..I know dude could help a playoff team coming off the bench

Bobcats rumored to want Bargnani, and main thing they have to offer is Ben Gordon.

With that said...is there any NBA team out there who'd want/need a player like Ben Gordon? Maybe 3 team deal could come out of this? Bobcats get Bargnani, 3rd team gets Gordon + other guys from Bobcats, Raptors get guy from 3rd team.

I really cannot, for the life of me, figure out why anyone would want Andrea Bargnani.

                        1. I could see this trade. McGee and Chandler both are pieces that sort of fit with Denver but are expendable right now. Gortat plays D and Dudley is an assassin from beyond the arc. Morris is a young guy coming along and can be used as a future asset. Denver has plenty of pieces to get a superstar but after the Melodrama, I doubt they make that play ... this helps build the team while also making them better come time for the playoffs.

                        2. Don't see it. Nene is a better player than Bargnani in most facets of the game (minus shooting, which Bargnani obviously has an advantage over most 4s). The Wizards can be a decent playoff team with the core they have now if they stay uninjured and get some depth. I don't see them making that trade.

                        3. Don't see it. Raptors give up Ross for Humphries and Millsap? What are they going to do with Humphries? Neither big is a long term solution for them at the 4 and Ross is to valuable to waste on the likes of them.

                        4. Bucks get nothing in that trade and the Thunder wouldn't give up Martin in that scenario. If they're getting Jefferson than Perkins is the one to get shipped out, not Martin who walks into FA at the end of the season.

                        5. Steep price for the Kings to pay, especially considering Smith hasn't named them as a team he'd sign with in FA. Plus, why would they want two headcases on their team? Between Smith jacking up threes and Cousins arguing with the backboard, the Kings would be a circus to watch and not a good kind.

                        6. Uh ... no. Jazz are way high on Favors. Turner, though a better player at this point (arguably), plays the 2/3 spot and the depth at that spot is high. Big men are, and will remain, the most valuable commodity in the NBA and Favors for Turner straight up won't happen.

                        7. Maybe. Jefferson for Bledsoe and draft picks *might* work. Jordan wouldn't need to go there for the Jazz wouldn't want him (Kanter waits in the wings). Jazz get their PG of the future in Bledsoe ... if the Clips are looking to be super serious playoff contenders than this move might happen.

                        My thoughts.
                        Any comments are welcome.

                          Possible Bledsoe for Millsap deal?

Sources with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com late Saturday there is a level of mutual interest between the Clippers and Utah Jazz in exploring a deal that would feature Bledsoe as the headliner in a trade package for Jazz forward Paul Millsap.

Although two sources with knowledge of the Clippers' thinking insisted during All-Star Weekend that Bledsoe would not be moved in coming days and strongly predicted L.A. would stand pat, two other sources indicated the Clippers and Jazz will at least discuss the feasibility of a trade headlined by Bledsoe and Millsap before the deadline.

The Clippers have been telling teams for weeks they value Bledsoe too highly to move him. It's widely presumed he'll be traded eventually, given the fact he's playing behind Chris Paul and is only expected to continue to improve. But rival executives have been pessimistic about the likelihood of prying Bledsoe away until Paul is signed to a long-term deal, which won't happen until July. Bledsoe himself, isn't a restricted free agent until summer 2014, which is said to only add to the desire of Clippers management to be patient.

Yet there is a school of thought the Clippers' best move to increase the chances of the sort of deep playoff run that would clinch Paul's signature on a new long-term deal this summer is trying to trade for Garnett or Boston teammate Paul Pierce to fortify the roster with more playoff experience.

The appeal of Millsap, by contrast, is he'd conceivably help the Clippers in the frontcourt immediately, as well as in the future because of his age (28). Utah's interest in finding a good young point guard, meanwhile, is an open secret around the league that has led to longstanding speculation that either Millsap or Al Jefferson would be moved by the deadline, given that both are scheduled to become free agents such as Paul in July.

Bledsoe, 23, certainly would appear to fit well with the Jazz as they retool around a younger core of Enes Kanter, Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward. Utah also has an immediate need at point guard as it awaits the return of Mo Williams from a thumb injury after Williams -- acquired from the Clippers over the summer -- completes the final year of his contract.

But the Clippers would have to add at least one player to a Millsap deal to make the salary-cap math work if talks progressed to a serious level. And sources say L.A.'s front office remains wary of breaking up or shaking up its current roster, which generated a franchise-record 17 consecutive wins in January and is finally back to full strength with the recent returns of Paul, Griffin, Billups, Jamal Crawford and Grant Hill from injury.

Nene would be too much of a risk for Raptors to get. He's missed too many games in past couple of seasons. And Raptors need a rebounding guy too, Nene isn't that great of a rebounder.

And no way Raptors would ever do that 2nd deal. Raptors already had Humphries, so they won't want him again. And Tinsley...Raptors already have a backup PG, they don't need another.

If Raptors wouldn't even give up Ross in deal for Lowry, or for Gay, what makes people think Raptors are just willing to give him up in any sort of deal.

I hate seeing so many trade proposals, all of them with Ross involved. BC doesn't want to move Ross, yet seems like people don't care and will bring up his name in rumors anyways. Raptors are a young team, so how does it make sense at all that they'd trade away one of their youngest guys/their most recent 1st round draft pick just for the sake of it....They drafted him at 8th spot instead of trading it for a reason, they're not gonna go back on that several months later...

And Raptors aren't desperate to get rid of Bargnani. We're not in a Lakers situation where our big man is a free agent at end of the year and can just walk. He's with Raptors for at least 1 more year, so they're not just gonna dump him off on a team for guys with expiring contracts. Not saying Millsap is a salary dump, but if he got traded to Raptors,I doubt he'd resign at end of season.
