    Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion

I really don't have a clue who I want the Bobcats to snag.

I'm intrigued by Noel's defense, but he's extremely raw offensively, and has torn his ACL twice.

I am a big fan of Ben McLemore because of his sharpshooting and finishing ability, but his defense and handles leave a lot to be desired.

I LOVE Anthony Bennett's game, but his size is a big concern. Reminds me a lot Michael Beasle coming out of college... and with Bismack at 6'9, I don't think we can afford to go with a short big.

My gut says to go with Noel but my head says to go with McLemore. Of course, it's very possible the ping pong balls cost us a chance at both. I'm still meh on the MKG pick last year. Great kid, and I love what he brings to the table defensively and in transition, but I think it's a mistake to draft a 2 or a 3 in the Top 5 who isn't elite offensively (or doesn't have elite potential).

Yeah this should make him available for some of the better teams. Which is a shame. Most of the fans I'm hearing from(mostly NOLA fans) don't like Len as a prospect. I see a guy who could be a shorter Yao Ming.

Depending on where he falls wouldn't be upset to trade back up to draft Len if he has a Sullinger/P. Jones type fall.

          A shorter Yao Ming?

You must not haven't watched him play much over the last 2 years if you think he can be a shorter Yao Ming.

Len is tall that's about all I've gathered when I've watched ACC ball over the last few years, wouldn't want the Hornets to look at him.

Noel would be cool to pair with AD, but he's not my first option. Really want a SF or Trey Burke.

With Vasquez already there? Didn't he just give ya'll like 14 and 9?

Unless you want Trey Burke to play the 2 like AI used to in Philly....

He's a good player, but there seems to be some unknown as since he came out of nowhere he wasn't in their initial long term plans. Dell Demps has dropped hints that PG is a spot they may look into. Guess we'll find out this summer, ideally SF is the position to go to as the Indiana Victor guy(on my phone id butcher my attempt at his full name)seems like a perfect player for Monty's system.

Austin Rivers is another wild card as he was playing well before he got hurt after the all star break and Monty seems to still be high in his potential

                  Sure to slip.

@DraftDreams: FYI @AnthonyBennett will have surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff-left shoulder w Dr. Altchek @HSpecialSurgery

@chadfordinsider: Agent Jeff Schwartz confirms Bennett will be out up to 4 months. No draft workouts or summer league for Bennett

Damn all these guys are making in difficult for is to draft Burke. At this rate he'll go 1st overall. Smart staying and now Bennett needing surgery.

That could help Bennett i think. He didnt look nearly as good the second half of the season. Knew he was hurt, didnt know it was that bad. Makes his disappointment in the back half of the season not look as bad. Not like he was going to surprise people in workouts they know hes a good athlete.

Assuming the Wizards don't Britta the draft by trading the pick, Either Bennett or Len would make solid picks. Hoping Bennett, Oladipo or Porter somehow slip.

I think it's kind of crazy that Glen Rice Jr put up the kind of numbers he did in the d league and led the squad to the championship but is looked at as a fringe first rounder. I think he'll rise to outside the lottery by the time the draft comes.

Bucks are apparently going to work out Gorgei Dieng, Mason Plumlee, and Rudy Gobert... what the actual ****. How many years in a row can we take guys with redundant skill sets?!

Also apparently bringing in Shane Larkin for a workout, which I also hate. This is going to be a fun offseason. It's going to be like Henson/Terrence Jones all over, but maybe worse.

I pictured the Bucks going for Saric or maybe reach a little for Dennis Schroeder, hmm....

Why do drafts no longer have those immediate franchise changing players. The guys like Magic, Bird, Jordan, Akeem, Ewing, Barkley, Duncan, Shaq, LeBron, etc..

I guess Kyrie and Lillard are the closest in awhile now, but with so many outstanding guards in the league right now it sorta negates how well they did.
