I just meant I wasn't trying to make the discussion about LeBron lol.. I only said 1 small sentence with his name in it then everyone started posting about him.. And my post actually wasnt even about LeBron it was about Durant.

But back on topic, I don't think PG will ever be the player Durant is

After some more consideration, PG will never be where KD is at right now.

However, this isn't a "caught in the moment" thing. PG is definitely making strides every year while KD isn't really making drastic improvements.

Well when you become that good that fast, in Durant's case, I guess people (like you) tend to get spoiled.

How much better do you want the man to get? He's already the second best player in the world. The only accolades he doesn't have are MVP and a ring. Not much higher to go than that, which I'm sure he will get one or both of those soon.

Why you would even bother comparing the two is still a bit lost on my end. No offense to you at all, but it was a comical comparison. Then to throw in "potential" makes it even more weird.

Well Durant still has room for improvement, as does any star really. He could become a better passer, needs to work on his defense, and he doesn't really have a go to move in the post.

PG has a lot to work on, he is built to be an all around type like like LeBron, so the whole potential thing was more like..will we ever say PG is better than Durant? And my thinking was yes, if PG can become a 26PPG scorer and average about 7 rebounds and 6 assists, I'd take him over KD. But after more thinking and watching him, I just don't think he'll ever get to that point.

But I wouldn't say Durant can't improve much, James can still improve alot and all of us say he's the best player on the planet. His shooting needs to be improved, especially his FTs. He also needs to work on his shot selection, he has a knack for shooting too many threes when he thinks he's hot. And he doesn't utilize his size on offense like he should.

So really it was kinda "in the moment" because this series made me think of the comparison, but PG is definitely improving. But will that last with Granger coming back?

All-Star player for sure. He's already made it in only his second year

Potential for National team in 2016

If he works hard I don't see why he couldn't have a Joe Johnson in his prime type impact for years to come

Do I think he will be considered among the league's very best even in his prime? No. I don't know if has that it factor nor the personality to be an MVP type player. Just my opinion on a very young player.

Fair assessment. Although I look at him a little higher than you do. I am biased obviously, but when I look at PG right now I see a player that is still a little raw.

I don't really want to try and compare his potential to a player that I think he can be(such as you saying he could have a Joe Johnson type career), but I think he can definitely become a 2nd tier type of superstar. I guess it depends on how people list top players, but let's say that I don't think he'll ever have an impact like Durant. I think he could be a step below that though.

There's just too many things he can improve on in his game and the fact that he's still very young and seems to have a good work ethic I'd be surprised if he doesn't improve a lot more.

We'll see though. Regardless I'm happy to have him on the Pacers. He brings a lot to the table. Even if he's mostly a defensive player for his whole career, I'll take that player any day of the week as not every team has one and they can be very valuable.

The next two years should be very telling. Now he has a target on his back and teams all know he is the goods. Well see how he adjusts next season to more attention

I think George will grow to be a great all-around player, not so much an offensively dominant one. Like others said, I'd be surprised if he scored over 25 ppg. I don't think he has that mentality, and thats fine. I do think he'll improve his defense, which is already very good, and becoming a better passer/facilitator. He'll be closer to a Scottie Pippen all-around type of player than a Jordan scoring type of player.

No one was saying he was gonna be Jordan.

Expecting George to be Scottie Pippen's level is a pretty big expectation...
