I would say that we'd take him, but is he under contract for next season?

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Vasquez is having a bad season, just let him prove himself next year, if not, then Raptors should get rid of him. He just has 3M contract next season, so why not see if he can get back to 2012-2013 form?
Also:
Ujiri said he really has not heard from anyone lately, actually showed me his phone... a lot of calls from the family, not NBA GMs

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
The Knicks are still pursing Lowry...
We offered Felton, Shump and Udrich.
They countered with Hardaway and 1st rounder.

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
After ASW, no way Knicks giving up Hardaway.
Though I don't get why the Raptors don't want to keep Lowry. It's only gonna cost like 10-12M to keep him, and Raptors do have that cap space to resign him(as of now, they have about 20M in cap space during the 2014 offseason with 10 players under contracts(or qualifying offers),and that's without Lowry signed)
lol, if they really do head into the offseason with that much space, I think just for the fun of it, just offer Lebron a max contract just to make headlines lol. He obviously won't accept/consider the deal, but would be funny to see headlines one day reading "Raptors Offer Lebron Max deal'.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Lowry is a free agent in four months and he's not going to change the Knicks' fortunes this year - and we're not going to want to pay him/re-sign him. There's no reason to give up Hardaway or a 1st rounder for a rental when you probably won't even make the playoffs. Honestly there's no reason to give up Shumpert. I'm not sure why we're pursuing Lowry or Teague, it makes no sense. Once again the Knicks are trying to put a band aid on a mortal wound.
If you're Toronto you're probably going to lose Lowry anyway, it might not be the worst thing to get to get a cheap project like Shumpert though I'm guessing Toronto will work out some type of sign-and-trade over the summer when Lowry goes elsewhere."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
But there's 0 indication that Lowry even wants to leave. Latest report just says that his asking price could be around what other PGs lately have gotten(which is around the 10-12M range) but Raptors don't want to pay it.
So really,as of now,if Lowry does leave at end of the season, sounding more like Raptors fault than his.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Rumor is that the Knicks are also interested in Jeff Teague, and supposedly a 3 team deal has been discussed that would send Teague to Toronto, Lowry to New York, and Shumpert to the Hawks (and obviously some other stuff to make the salaries line up.NFL: Bills

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Highly unlikely but thought I'd throw this out anyway,
According to @stevekylerNBA Carmelo could join Miami if LeBron, Wade, Bosh & Melo all sign for $14 million.
One can only dream...Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
For some reason, I don't trust Lowry enough to give him anything more than $10 Mil per and even that's pushing it.
But then again, that's another issue I have in regards to NBA Contracts and inflation.#RespectTheCultureComment
