Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Am I the only one that doesn't really like Shumpert? He's a decent player but I think he is a way overrated defender and doesn't have much else besides 3pt range and athleticism. I've never seen him do anything to make me think that he's gonna be a special player. I don't really see the value in him.

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
If this really is true the Clippers should be trying to land him. Pretty much any contending team honestly, if all it's going to cost is a 2nd round pick... I wonder if Hawes has a similar asking price.
I'm sure if that's all they really want there will be plenty of teams throw a 2nd rounder their way.. Decent thing to do would be for the Sixers to let Turner choose from the group, which is highly unlikely to happen lol.Comment

Evan Turner can really help a lot of these playoff teams IMO.
Philly is dead set on trading him too.Last edited by Rockie_Fresh88; 02-20-2014, 10:06 AM.#1 Laker fan

Report: Rockets making push for
Rondo: Like many teams in the league right now,
the Houston Rockets are interested in acquiring Boston Celtics point guard
Rajon Rondo. And, like a lot of teams in the league right now,
the Rockets are having a hard time coming up with the framework for a trade that
is to the Celtics’ liking. ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reports that
Houston’s potential unwillingness to give up Chandler Parsons
is what may be hanging up a deal.
Thats a tough decision. Rondo or Parsons. Rockets are on fire right now

The Race For Jordan Hill, 8:50 a.m.
The Los Angeles Lakers have the fourth highest payroll in the league and are
18-36 after getting waxed at home by the Rockets on Wednesday. Dumping
Jordan Hill for nothing can lower their luxury tax payments quite a bit,
and there are a couple of teams willing to take Hill off their hands. As we wrote yesterday, the Nets are looking to strengthen
their bench, and have a disabled player exception that can absorb Hill’s $3.5
million salary.
But so does New Orleans, whose frontline has been decimated by injuries.atleast..Its not DelawareComment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Would honestly prefer Glen Rice Jr. from Wash or even Quincy Miller from Den.
The New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets may be trade partners yet, but not in the way we all expected.
According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein and Ian Begley, sources say the two teams have been discussing a deal "that would swap little-used guard Beno Udrih for Nuggets swingman Jordan Hamilton."
These players had both been linked to a bigger rumor that involved Iman Shumpert and Kenneth Faried swapping jerseys as well. Those talks never materialized, though, and Shumpert is now sidelined with a sprained MCL.
Stein and Begley add that this deal "could hinge on Denver's ability to find a home for the disgruntled Andre Miller."
There seems to be plenty of interest in Miller, but you wonder how high Denver's price tag is given that: A) he hasn't played since Dec. 30; and B) he's still taking up a roster spot.
Hamilton is an unabashed gunner and more volume than scorer. Udrih is an aging veteran upset about his lack of playing time.
In other words, both would be perfect fits in their new homes if this deal goes down. You Look Good, You Feel Good. You Feel Good, You Play Good. You Play Good, They Pay Good. - Deion Sanders

Doesn't this basically mean, Varejao isn't expected to recover from his injury anytime soon? Maybe Zeller is getting traded?Last edited by mikenoob; 02-20-2014, 10:59 AM.Comment
