    Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread

I wonder if he's in any kind of shape. He was exciting to watch in Chicago but fell of a cliff once he signed that big deal with DET. I wonder how much of his slide has been due to a lack of work ethic and how much has been being in awful situations.

As a UConn fan I know BG was always renonwed for having an amazing work ethic but maybe once he saw those dollar signs that all changed.

I'm sure there are playoff teams that could use a bench scorer.

        Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread

Ben Gordon stinking up the joint was due to a combination of factors.

        1. John Keuster- When Karen Davidson inherited the team, she forced Dumars to go cheap with the coaching, which is why Keuster was hired. He couldn't handle the minutes for the guard combo of Gordon, Hamilton and Stuckey.
        2. Dumars' analysis of Stuckey- He thought Stuckey could play at the 1 and run a team. This turned out to not be the case, he's much more effective at the 2 or coming off the bench. So the Pistons were then stuck with 3 guys at the 2, which eventually led to Rip being bought out and Gordon being dealt for cap space.

So you have a coach that doesn't have much of an idea of how to use the talent he has, a log jam of shooters with no one who can really run the offense as well as a group of forwards that scares no one offensively.

If Dumars was going to make the move and create all the cap space, he needed to approach it with Stuckey as the 6th man, not trading Afflalo and starting him at the 2, and not resigning Rip Hamilton. Then they needed to use the cap space to sign two bigs and a PG. There were a pile of bigs available that offseason but the PG market was barren.

Ahhhhhh man I get mad thinking back to BG7 Bulls days and thinking about what could have been.

          Money talks unfortunately.

Pisses me off even more that the Free Agency 2010 was a shame because all moves made at that time were to conserve cap space to make a run at LeBron or Bosh or Wade.

Dude's J is/was gorgeous. Always had the rainbow arc and dope footwork, feet always set.

Sidenote: I do not miss that shiny/Durasheen gross material the Bulls uniforms were made of back then.

My least favorite jersey set. Those things we're absolutely atrocious. Idk what the hell they were thinking.

He'll be a free agent after this season if he isn't traded. Could get him for super cheap. He'd be a nice bench option if he can get in shape. Seems like he lost a step this season when he has played.

Bulls were required to sign a 13th man before Thursday's game and still have yet to do so. I'm hoping for a D-League-er, but with the Bulls it's more likely they grab some washed up veteran like Marcus Camby.

How do you go directly from one coaches doghouse to another? Not sure why Gordon can't get on the court in Charlotte....they could use his shooting...

Speaking of Marcus Camby, I'm abit confused on his contract.

basketballreference says Raptors only pay him just over 600k next season(they bought him out in the summer), but another website I went to says they have to pay him 4.1M...So which is it?

I think he's already on the team.

They waived him and Cartier Martin earlier in the month to my knowledge.

                                Who wants Andre Miller?

Andre Miller has no desire to return to the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets were attempting to bring Miller back to the team after more than a month in which they were unsuccessful in trading him away.

"The vibe is delusional," the source said. "It's a burned bridge. No reconciliation. He's waiting by the door with his bag already packed. The relationship is irreparable. Under no circumstances does he want to come back to Denver.

"Andre hasn't spoken about the situation. He's being quiet out of goodwill."

Miller has been working out daily at the Nuggets' practice facility, but mostly at night away from the team.

Brian Shaw also has no interest in bringing Miller back.

Miller's camp hopes the Nuggets can still find a suitable trade before the deadline.
