I know there's a thread for this but I figured since it was relevant to the current topic

If you're not a top 4-5 point guard you're just not worth that much. Talking Paul/Rose/Westbrook/Rondo/Parker. Theres a reason big men get the bigger salaries. Lowry is good but is he really that much better than Teague (8 mill)? Especially with the saturation of point guards nowadays. You can find bargain guys like Pat Beverley that can play D and hit 3s for nothing.

Ideally you'll have one max guy and two guys in the 9-12 range. You're better off using that second tier money on a wing who can work as a lead ball handler or a big, depending on what your max guy is.

I don't know man. LBJ, Bosh, and Wade are all on the books for $62,000,000 next season total. If they all opt out that comes off the books for all cap intents and purposes, if they all sign for $14,000,000, then it'd be a total of $64,000,000.

Per Woj, Nets are interested in trading Jason Terry to the Cavs in exchange for Jarrett Jack and are also talking to the Lakers about acquiring Jordan Hill using their DPE they got when they lost Brook.

What a joke.Good pick up Pack if this happens.

Los Angeles, Brooklyn have discussed Jordan Hill deal into the Nets' Disabled Player Exception, league sources tell Yahoo.

Grizzlies & Wolves talking about swapping Prince and Tony Allen for Budinger and Barea. Would be hilarious to see a team with the shooting of Rubio, Allen, and Prince on the perimeter.

Also, the trade that Sacramento supposedly proposed for Rondo is hilariously bad for them. Though my friend says that he read that the initial reports were wrong and that it was actually Boston that proposed it, which would make a lot more sense to me.

Would be great for Memphis though considering how well Lee has stepped in and filled that defensive role.

Never heard about the Rondo trade?

Oh, sorry. The proposed deal was Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore, and 2 picks (presumably first round picks) for Rondo, but apparently Rondo told Sacramento that he wouldn't want to resign with them.

Wow, if that would happen Boston would be ridiculously loaded with picks and have some nice young talent.

Rumors going around that Raptors-Celtics could make deal involving Rondo-Lowry!

I wouldn't mind that but...is Rondo even healthy?

Tough to picture Rondo staying in Toronto long term if he didn't want to stay in Sacramento

Plus seemed like Boston would be getting a much better package, unless Toronto is unloading 2 firsts or something

If the Celtics aren't doing the Kings deal, I'd guess it's cause Kings per-requisite for deal is Rondo resigning? Raptors hopefully is same thing. Or maybe they'd even consider talking to the Knicks about if Knicks would up their offer for a Raptors PG if that PG was Rondo instead of Lowry?

Imagine if something happened like Raptors got Hardaway JR,1st round pick and maybe something else, Celtics got Lowry and something else, and Knicks got Rondo.

You're dreaming big if you think Lowry is worth Hardaway and a 1st

Celtics would need much more than Lowry and "something else" to part with Rondo
