        PCK Sighting approaching soon:

Let’s get the $64,000 question out of the way: Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum has not been cleared to play in the season opener against the Brooklyn Nets.
However, the 7-foot, 294-pounder doesn’t appear to be far away from playing.
“Whenever he’s ready, we’ll welcome him with open arms,” Cavs swingman C.J. Miles said.
Bynum, 25, hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since May 21, 2012. He missed the entire season in Philadelphia last season after having surgery on both knees.
After signing a two-year, $25.5 million deal with the Cavs last summer, he didn’t appear in a preseason game.
“He’s been practicing 5-on-5 the last week-and-a-half,” Cavs coach Mike Brown said. “When it gets to the point where we all feel he’s (ready to play), we’ll clear him.”

If you don't think some of that has to do with Cole being WAAAAAY more likable than Chalmers, then you're kidding yourself.

It's really really hard to separate personal opinions of an athlete from their on-field performance, and Chalmers isn't one of those guys who is so good that people can put that personal distaste aside.

The same thing happens with all kinds of players. I do it with Matt Barnes. Matt Barnes is one of the better role players in the league but I can't stand the guy and that occasionally leads me to think of him as a lesser player than he really is.

I also don't think Chalmers is so much better than Cole that that kind of talk is unwarranted.

And everyone knows the book on Shawne Williams and there's a reason why he hasn't been able to hold on to a job.
If everyone knows that Blake is a decent backup point guard you wouldn't know it from the way people talk about him. You'd think he was the worst player to play in the NBA in the past 50 years the way I've seen him talked about online, here and elsewhere.

A lot of guys that came together and won the championship for the Mavs in 2011 could be described the same way as some of these guys. It would be relatively easy to see ex describing guys like Ian Mahinmi, Brendan Haywood, JJ Barea and DeShawn Stevenson in similar ways at the time as he's describing these Lakers bench guys now.

I don't know where I'm even going with this argument, I guess I just find it pretty insane to be calling a group of guys who scored the last 48 points for their team against one of the favorites to come out of the West "worthless".

SF I think you're misunderstanding the conversation...

I don't think anyone is asking "why do people think Chalmers is a d-bag? "What do people find him annoying?" "Why don't people like him"

                      We all know why...lol

The question it why some (a lot of times Heat fans) tend to be over critical of his on court play...when he's come up huge in big moments..

It's kind of like Spurs fans and Bonner...except he's never come up big of course..

                        We'll see about this...

No Kirilenko tonight but he hopes to play Friday night against the Heat.

Also no Kidd for the first 2 games so Lawrence Frank will takeover Coaching Duties.

Huh. I'd think it would be a Butler/Henson/Sanders frontcourt trio starting.
