    Re: 2014 Draft Class

Selfishly, I hope Parker and Emiid declare for the draft this year. I didn't tank away my fantasy team this year for nothing :P
I got 2 1st round picks (both bottom 2) + the right to swap picks with the 3rd worst team.

I'd take him #1. I've already posted why I think Embiid is overrated and overhyped, and Parker has a glaring weakness on the defensive end of the floor.

Wiggins HAS to constantly be aggressive like this though. When he does, he's as good as anyone and considering his freakish athleticism/psychical gifts if he can develop a good shot (that's a big if of course) he can be a gamechanger in the NBA.

I still think Randle is the most NBA ready prospect in this group. He is constantly double & tripled team right now. This won't happen in the NBA. He's an awesome rebounder and his defense isn't bad, but it isn't great either.

I'd go Wiggins/Embiid/Randle/Parker/Exum right now. Exum is still a pretty big question mark though.

Wiggins can go #1 and I wouldn't see a problem at all, I'm just saying I'm not sure how I see how he turns out. What his ceiling is. Who he compares to.

His ceiling imo is top 10 player in the NBA. His comparison is tougher to me. A more athletic/better defensive Tracy McGrady maybe? I know he isn't LeBron or Kevin Durant.

I don't know that he will ever have the pure all around offensive ability that a prime T-Mac had.. Better defensively I can see that, and maybe an equal all around talent when it's all said and done.

Maybe it's just me, but T-Mac at his best had just a smooth scoring ability I haven't saw from many players.. I don't think T-Mac at his peak is far off from Kobe or Durant offensively.. And I just don't see that from Wiggins.

T-Mac possibly a better passer too, I'm not sure Wiggins will turn out to be the type of playmaker T-Mac was.. But I can see him being much better playing without the ball.

Idk maybe I'm wrong.. He keeps looking better and better as the year progresses.

Wiggins just struggles against the zone. Against teams that play man he almost always has a good game

He might not ever average 25-30 a game like T-Mac but I think the similarities are there. Neither are great shooters (T-Mac is a career 34% shooter from 3).
McGrady certainly was the better scorer though, but Wiggins has the ability to score and is good at getting into the lane to shoot/draw fouls. He is also the better defensive player and is probably more athletic. I think it's probably the best comparison for Wiggins I can come up with.

Some huge games for lots of guys yesterday.. Parker put on an offensive clinic.. Inside, outside, midrange, spot up, off the dribble.. Full arsenal on display.. McBuckets just went off. I think he looks promising as a later 1st round choice. I can see him being a better Korver or Mike Miller type of guy.

I see a mix of Korver, Miller, Gallo and Wally Szcerbiak in Doug. Hopefully he isn't just an Adam Morrison.

Unfortunately he won't actually be a late 1st. Seems like a foregone conclusion at this point that he'll go in the lottery.

I doubt he's taken at the end of the first, he'll probably be a late lottery pick. I'd be surprised if he is still on the board at 20. He's the most skilled offensive player in this class. I don't know if he'll be able to play any defense though...

There's no way Doug isn't a lottery pick. He will win POY and unless he has abysmal workouts, a team will take a chance on his defense to take his offense in the lottery.

TJ Warren of NC State has been surging lately, had another huge game against BC today

I think he's much more physical than all of those guys. He kinda reminds me of how Kevin Love plays now. Not saying he'll ever be close to the kind of production Love puts up but he can step outside and shoot it, post a little, high bball IQ, and underwhelming athletically. Could be a good stretch 4. Maybe Ryan Anderson also...

Will he even play close to the style Kevin Love does in the pros though? I doubt it. His willingness to step inside the 3 point line however is definitely a positive.

His play style, role and impact will be in line with the guys I mentioned IMO.
