    Re: 2014 Draft Class

I agree but I think of Anderson as Hedo Turkoglu. NBAdraft.net has him going in the top 5. And they compare him to Magic Johnson. Which is a pretty good comparison skill wise. Because I haven't seem a guy in the college ranks do as much as he does on the floor since him.

Also I'm not sold on this athleticism thing. If a player has skills and understand his limitations. But produces at a high level. I don't care if he can jump out of the roof or leap tall buildings.

Will Kyle Anderson ever be the shooter Hedo was? Anderson definitely has skills but it remains to be seen how they will translate on the next level. He will need to be elite at some skill because he's like a snail.

There are so many names like WCS, Ennis, Harrell, Hairston, Payne, Young etc. etc. lots of names to be had. These are all Americans too, nobody's even mentioned any international prospects outside of Exum.

And there's a bunch of international guys that could be in the 1st round discussion too.

Obviously Exum and Saric (who I believe finally declared and will likely be a lottery pick). Also Capela, Nurkic, Micic, and Bogdanovic.

Should be a really interesting draft.

I'd be thrilled if Milwaukee came away with Wiggins/Embiid/Exum/Jabari in the 1st and then picked up a couple guys like Shabazz Napier, Elfrid Payton, Glenn Robinson, and Micic in the 2nd round. A lot of talent to be had this year.

This draft is extremely deep. It might not end up with multiple stars but I think it will prove a lot of solid rotational players, even in the second round.

I thought he said he was gonna play in europe for 2 years. Not to mention offcourt problems/issues.

He seems to have good form. Just needs some work. I think he'll find his way. Everyone does lol

Oh nevermind. It had been reported that he was declaring before and hiring an agent, but apparently his agent has been fired and they're thinking he's going to back out again.

                  Re: 2014 Draft Class

DraftExpress has released their scouting report/video of Tyler Ennis. Isn't on YouTube for some reason, but here's the link

Tyler Ennis exceeded all expectations in his lone year at Syracuse, earning Second-Team All-ACC and All-Rookie team honors while leading the Orange to a 28-6 record. Now that his college career is over, we can now take a step back and conduct an inventory of everything he displayed this season as an NBA prospect, as well as the things he still has to improve on.

As someone that watched all of his games this year, I feel like this scouting report really isn't very good by their standards. A lot of the things they mention as his strengths are things that I thought were major weaknesses of his (post-entry passes, rarely seeing the open man on pick and rolls, transition, and shooting mechanics).

I think you can argue that Ennis won't even be a top 5 PG from this class when all is said and done. I feel like he should have stayed another year in college, but some team is going to reach for him in the lottery so he'll have a nice guaranteed contract.

DX's mock doesn't have team needs in it, but they have OKC getting Cleanthony Early at the end of the first round. That would be an absolute steal there imo.

I didn't really think his shooting mechanics were that bad, nor his transition game.. But I'm sure I didn't see him nearly as much as you.

It would either be a steal or another Perry Jones lol.. But I agree, I think he's pretty much a steal for any of those teams around the back end of the first round..

I think they Heat should take a gamble on Austin in the first, unless a good wing player is still around.. I think his skills could develop in Spo's system, and if it doesn't it'll just be another pick they don't use like every other draft anyways.

He's much more skilled than Perry Jones was/is.

I think someone should honestly. Austin will be a solid role player in the NBA imo. He's got good upside, a good shot blocker & range out to the 3 point line.

His shot isn't broken or anything, but he pretty much short-arms every shot he takes off the dribble, and when he just catches and shoots, it's a set shot that he can't really get off unless he's left wide open.

And his transition game is almost non-existant. That's the one area of the game where he doesn't look confident and poised at all.

Really not excited about this national championship game.. Both teams caught some lucky breaks getting here, I don't feel we are watching the two best "teams".. At least lots of talent will be on the court.
