I agree with the above. The team/coach/franchise wanting to rest players is totally different than a disgruntled player not wanted to go back in. I don't see how the two are even related.

Also, I don't think that this will hurt his ROY chances at all. I doubt that this will make that much of a difference. What will hurt him is his teams losing ways right now. They can barely win now. I said it before, if the Nuggets don't make the playoffs, Melo will not get ROY, or even Co-ROY. Hopefully they can get things right there tho, cause Denver has been a great story all year long.

You have to understand that you cant use guys like rasheed as a comparison because hes known as a disruptive guy. Melo has had a clean slate so far, so this is basically like strike one. The apology more than satisfied his teammates. I agree with everything else tho. ROY really hinges on the postseason. If one makes it and the other doesnt, then the decision is made. Than again, Denver has collapsed, whereas cleveland wasnt even expected to be in the race, so its really up in the air.

BTW, if both the cavs and nuggets miss the postseason, but the heat make it, doesnt Wade deserve consideration???

BigMike is right, you cant compare Allen Iverson or Rasheed Wallace to Carmelo Anthony, i mean 'Sheed has cursed on air, in interviews, been caught with Marijuana. Iverson has continuously skipped practice, gotten his coaches fired, and ball-hogged. 'Melo didnt play the lats 6 minutes of a game, that was far from over.
