      That's it.

Now it's to the point where people are discrediting both these guys in order to make a point. And that's not even fair. "LeBron didn't carry his team."..."Carmelo quit on his team."

People have said their piece but now it's going in circles. Can we just accept that LeBron got the trophy and Carmelo is in the playoffs and let all this go?

                  1. Bring up ball, trying not to turn it over even though theres a much smaller quicker NBA guards pressuring you....Right outta' highschool.

                  2. Initiate an NBA offense, making sure to remember where YOUR supposed to be, along with knowing where all your teammates are at all times....Right outta highschool.

                  3. Protect the ball at all costs, even though the game is moving much, much, much, faster than ANYTHING youve ever experienced. College to pro is a big adjustment but Right outta' highschool? Jeez.

                  4. Keep everyone happy. Know where and how everyone likes to get the ball. Carlos likes it waist high so he doesn't have to put the ball on the floor, Darius is more effective while moving towards the basket, Ricky wants the ball right off the high-post screen so passes to him have to have good timing..etc, etc...right outta' highschool.

                  5. Defend the other teams PG. Or if he's too small and quick, defend the opponents two guard (usually a pretty good scorer. Usually). Right outta' highschool.

                  6. Score.

                  7. Grab 2-3 boards

Do all these things, remember all this stuff, knowing that everybody and their momma is watching. Some are hoping you fail, even though they never met you. Miss a jumper, its front page news that you can't shoot. 6 turnover game for TJ Ford or Dwayne Wade its a rookie mistake, 6 TO game for Bron, and he's an over-hyped bust. Ask A-Rod how it feels to perform at a high-level with the pressure of expectations...

All that responsibility, along with horrendous internal problems, shouting matches, egos, and a new coach/system to boot.

You can pretend those things don't mean anything, but people closer to situation than any of us (the actual media members who were there the whole time behind this 1,000,000 watt light was beaming down on the kid ) say otherwise.

And to end this who-woulda'-done-what-and-where argument, remember one thing...LeBrons help came from Booze and Z. Since the Cavs have NO perimeter help, most teams sat in a zone and doubled Bron. That doesn't show up on the Sportscenter highlights. The Nuggets have enough firepower on the wings to prevent teams from clogging the middle. Anyone who thinks LeBron had the same advantages that Melo had to perform is simply mis-informed. Melo didn't single-handedly revive the franchise. Getting Camby back healthy, and completely re-vamping the backcourt including an All-Star caliber PG and what may be 6th man of the year.

And with all that extra responsibility, media pressure, and team deficiencies, Bron STILL outscored Melo for 90% of the season (Melo took over the scoring lead with about 2 weeks left) AND out-rebounded him for about half the season, and those two things ARE ALL MELO REALLY HAS TO DO! For Melo to equal LB this year he would have had to average at least 5 assists. Thats great for a SF, over and above his job description.

Defense is advantage LeBron, no question. Leadership? LOL..Don't go there.

If someone can come up with a legit reason besides the Nuggets TEAM made the playoffs, or that Melo avearged a whole tenth of a point more this season, I'd love to hear it.

A legit reason for 'Melo? How about he did everything his team asked him. You argue that LeBron assisted more, sometimes innitiated the offense, etc. 'Melo wasn't asked to do that. He scored his 21 points a game, grabbed his six rebounds, and guarded the SF of the opposing team. And Anthony is the better scorer, he has better range, better FG%, 3pt%, and FT%. You argue that James doesn't have much help on the offensive end. Who does Anthony have? I'd take Ilguaskas, Boozer, and for some of the season Davis, over Miller, Lenard, and Hilario.

You also make the argument that LeBron had all these responsibilities as a PG. Before the Jeff McInnis trade, Kevin Ollie shared the point duties, playing around 25 minutes a game at the point. Then in January, the Cav's traded for McInnis, who took over the point from then on. (Who btw, it would be hard for him to go unnoticed if he puts together a season next year, similar to what he did in 30+ games in Cleveland).

With all this said, if I had a vote in ROY, mine would go to Lebron.

TJ Ford had three games with six or more turnovers. Dwayne wade had three games also. LeBron had eight.
