Wasn't it just before or just after Roy got paid that he was looking terrible? That's about where we're at with him right now.

It's hard for me think that a group of grown men can be that fragile mentally. I agree that you shouldn't get rid of locker room leaders mid season but it just seems like there is more going on.
I also think that Turner isn't as bad as he looks right now. He's obviously not a great player but I would say he's also been affected by this slump.

This is worse, but to be fair to him during that stretch he was also injured and it wasn't heavily reported until later. Once it healed enough he played much better. This current level of play from him is on another level though. He is terrible. I mean he's having 0 rebounds or 0 FG's made games on a consistent basis it seems. Re: 4/1 - 4/6 Games Discussion Thread
I can't buy that. At least Turner IS on the floor. Granger missed 77 games last season as well as the first quarter of this season. This team has learned how to play without him. You can't tell me that losing him or adding Turner has resulted in a team that went from looking like a title favorite to looking like a team that should be picking in the top 5 of this years draft. We are talking about bench players.
Like I said I can see it affecting them a little, maybe they go on a 5 game slump or something, but there comes a point when you have to move on.
Beyond that statistically Turner has produced almost identically as Granger did with a little more assists. At least that's what the stats said last week anyway.
Since the trade they're 11-11 and look like a very average and beatable team. Let's look at some team stats before and after the trade.
Before/After
PPG: 98.6/92.6
OPPG: 90.7/ 94.9
ORTG: 105.3/102.5
DRTG: 97.0/105.1
This is a team that has changed how they're playing, one player isn't slumping, they all are.
Also, not looking past the opponents..The East has gotten better, Toronto, Chicago, Brooklyn, Washington, Charlotte have all picked it up, but for this big of a difference to come out in only 22 games is a little worrisome."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Udonis Haslem has hardly played this year, but you trade him and I guarantee Miami starts playing bad. The guy was a leader, not just on the floor and not just statistically.

I wouldn't buy the Heat slumping if Haslem left either. I could see it for a week or two, but like I said at some point you have to move on. This Pacers team has been slumping for far too long now. If that Granger trade is the cause of this, then we are looking at one hell of an immature bunch of players. How long are they going to play like **** before they untangle their panties and actually try to win some games....
Not exactly. Paul George might be the best player, but David West under my assumption was the true leader outside of Granger. He was the piece that turned this team around a few years ago.Last edited by z Revis; 04-06-2014, 09:31 PM.Indianapolis Colts

He's old enough to know how to keep his emotions in check. Trading a veteran player shouldn't have this big of an effect on the entire team. The rest of the team isn't as young as pg so I don't buy that excuse at all.

Re: 4/1 - 4/6 Games Discussion Thread
Idk man. Losing Granger was huge IMO. Evan Turner is not the answer(lol). Haslem has been the heart of us for 10+ years now. And would they get over it? Sure. But are they more experienced than Indy? You bet. David West may be the glue guy, but George is now the leader of this team.
Here's a stat for Pack and King.. y'all gonna love this one!

What's wrong with the pacers? If they can't win on the road. Home court won't matter for the playoffs.

They don't have any more home games do they?
The playoffs magnify weaknesses. There is no more soul searching. They either are together or they arent. You have to trust each other when that playoff pressure ramps up on you so yeah its now or never.

Scott Brooks with the GOAT coaching strategy of Durant 3/Westbrook 3.
Durant with 38 points on 28 shots.
He got that arbitrary third place streak going though."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment
