Don't look now...
But the Charlotte Bobcats are 1 win away from being .500.
And their remaining games? ORL, CLE, PHI, & BOS are 4 of the last 7. Amazing after going 28-120 in the last two seasons.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 4/1 - 4/6 Games Discussion Thread
So in the end if the playoff field holds as is it looks like the East has turned out to be just what we thought. Not so much seeding wise(the Knicks are still pretty bad), but just the fact that the Bulls, Nets, and Knicks after slumping early will all make the Playoffs.
It also didn't turn out to be as much of a joke either. If CHA can win some games down the stretch we'll have 7 teams above .500. Certainly not up to par with the West, but that's a whole hell of a lot better than it was earlier(IIRC there were times when just Indy and Miami were the only ones above .500).Last edited by z Revis; 04-03-2014, 05:23 AM.Indianapolis Colts

Re: 4/1 - 4/6 Games Discussion Thread
I think Pop plays everyone tonight. The Spurs' players got plenty of rest last night in the blowout home win over Golden State. Manu/Timmy were at/under 20 minutes and Tony was at 28 minutes.
I'd like to see Pop play everyone until the #1 seed is wrapped up. Then Pop can rest them for the remainder of the regular season (except maybe the last game to get back in the swing of things).
It wouldn't be surprising if Pop sits the Big Three and the Spurs win, anyways, though. It's happened before (though not against OKC, IIRC).Comment

One thing is for sure. I'm ready for the playoffs. It feels like we're just going through the motions at this point, though I'm still watching every Spurs game since I've got NBALP. I'm excited about tonight's game if Pop doesn't sit players as it will be a nice preview of the potential WCF matchup.Comment

I think what makes it such a shame is that one of the west teams will be left out. Not so much that the East is trash or any of that stuff. The Knicks don't belong in the playoffs.
In recent past years there really hasn't been a west team whom was left out where you could make a compelling argument that they should have seriously been in. This year the Suns, Grizz and Mavs all have done enough to get in. All 3 have had a gauntlet of a schedule to finish the regular season (facing other teams fighting for positioning or their playoff lives), so that's also something to consider.Comment

It's okay though because it looks like whoever can **** their pants the least are going to be the teams in the playoffs. And let's be really honest, who has been better at ****ting their pants in crucial times this year than the Dallas Mavericks?NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Right.
I kind of feel like I am taking them for granted but as far as the Spurs go, I only perk my ears up for OKC and a couple other teams during the regular season at this point .Comment

I don't get the purpose of this article:
Center Joakim Noah insists the Chicago Bulls won't tank games even if it means a better matchup in the playoffs.
Why would anyone even be suggesting the Bulls are losing on purpose to get a BETTER playoff seeding? How exactly would that work? The more you lose, the lower in the standings you'll go, so how exactly does that mean better seeding?Comment

Better seeding as in they avoid Miami maybe? I'm sure they like their odds against Indiana. Those two teams are just built for a tough series.Comment

Re: 4/1 - 4/6 Games Discussion Thread
And besides....How exactly will losing intentionally do that? There's no guarantee they'd even face a specific team if they finish in the 4th seed cause Miami/Indianas seeding also determines that too and right now, both teams are basically tied.Comment
