    Yeah that was great!

You know the Piston's owner (Mr. D) owns the Lightning. I guess he and Sheed have been jabbering.

but what do you think the reason is for the bad 1/2 court sets.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

      A few reasons.

      - Whenever their starters are out there it is a 4 on 5 game. Jason Collins did absolutely nothing in this series. He's always out of position for rebounds, and he can't score to save his like. Worst starting center in the league.

-Alot of our half court points come off of picks and cuts in the paint, but it was clear after game 1 that Detroit was to quick to do it against. They would get their hands in the passing lane making it next to impossible to run a decent offense. After game 1 NJ had to run different half court sets that they weren't as comfortable running, which is why there were more then a few times NJ looked clueless in the half court.

      - Nets have no one who can create their own shots. RJ was starting to become our go to guy towards the end of the season, but I don't feel that he is truly there yet. And being as honest as possible, I really do feel that he is only going to get better. He has shown flashes of a true star when all of his tools are working.

      - Kittles is a catch and shoot type of player unless he is catching a pass off the break. In the half court he is not a type of SG who can roll off of picks and knock down the jumper. Most of his half court shots come from threes.

      - I see no problem with Franks coaching in any aspect of his game. We had these problems when Scott was still here.

      - Finally, I think our team was built around Kidd's fastbreak game. Alot of these guys can fly down court, but don't seem to have any confidence in the half court. Thorn will do his best to address that issue. His Zo risk was an attempt, but it just didn't work out that way.

Considering the Deke blunder and giving Zo a 5 year deal to play 18 games, the Nets aren't in as bad of shape as people think. Martin demanded the max before this season. He has said numerous times that he would like to stay with NJ, but hasn't said anything about the max since the summer. It'll be interesting what happens with him, but even if he does ask for the max, a sign and trade can still be done. They also have three pretty big contracts that come off the books next year, which mean they're very tradable to teams that are looking to shed some salary next offseason. Nenad Krstic, their first round pick from 2 yrs ago is finally coming to play for NJ. He has negotiated, and he will definitely be on the team. Experts have said that he would've been in the top 5 had he been in last years draft. I seriously doubt he will help us out next year, but hopefully he will live up to the hype once he gets used to the league.

In all honesty I would be open to trade anyone on the team other then RJ. I believe he can be a huge star with more improvement.

Keep the team the same and sign Vlade to train Krstic.

Shouldn't you look at getting an actual 2 guard so that you can bring Kittles off the bench?

Kittles is fine. He played great defense on Billups when he was on him, and was successful in finishing the break and hitting shots. He averaged 14.4 ppg and shot 44 percent which was good for this series. He is perfect for the Nets, because he's so quick, creates turnovers to start the break, and can hit shots. The much bigger problem is center, where the Nets start a power forward who has a very limited offensive ability. If anything, your team needs a small forward. (Carmelo?) People always say how great of a GM Dumars is and they are usually right, but this was a big mistake. Carmelo on the Pistons makes a championship so much more likely, but instead Dumars put all his faith in Prince. A guy who shot 30 percent during the Nets series and averaged an unreal 8 ppg.
