Kittles is fine. He played great defense on Billups when he was on him, and was successful in finishing the break and hitting shots. He averaged 14.4 ppg and shot 44 percent which was good for this series. He is perfect for the Nets, because he's so quick, creates turnovers to start the break, and can hit shots. The much bigger problem is center, where the Nets start a power forward who has a very limited offensive ability. If anything, your team needs a small forward. (Carmelo?) People always say how great of a GM Dumars is and they are usually right, but this was a big mistake. Carmelo on the Pistons makes a championship so much more likely, but instead Dumars put all his faith in Prince. A guy who shot 30 percent during the Nets series and averaged an unreal 8 ppg.

Re: Pistons vs. Nets: Second Round Thread
The Nets are considering leaving Kittles unprotected in the expansion draft because of the high salary he possesses and that would give the Nets the room to make more of an impact in the offseason. The first thing they should address is the backup point guard situation. If Kidd hadnt' been averaging about 45 minutes a game, I think he would've played much better in game 6 and 7. The next thing I'd like to see done is a good center. I don't care who, but it gotta be better than collins. I like stromile swift cuz he looks like he would fit well into this kind of offense. Rj definately isn't going anywhere this year anyway and in all likelyhood, Martin will resign with the Nets. He's lost some bargaining ground in this series and def won't ask for the max. Also, since the nets can match, I don't see martin leavingComment

Re: Pistons vs. Nets: Second Round Thread
It'd be nice to give a true backup pg a chance with Brandon Armstrong and Tamar Slay's roster spot being expendable, but I think that Zoran Planic can develop into a good guard. The guy is only 21, and showed some flashes of being good this year.Comment

Re: Pistons vs. Nets: Second Round Thread
I guess I can't tell how good zoran will be but he doesnt seem to be able to take care of the ball very well. When he gets trapped or covered tightly he seems to panic. He tends to look down at the ball at times and doesnt use his height and size too well. Also, notthing special at shooting or passing. Of course, part of that is because he's a rook but I dont think he can get progress enough in one year to be a consistent backup next year. Maybe the nets should sign a short term deal with a backup pg and see how the zoran thing pans out.Comment

Re: Pistons vs. Nets: Second Round Thread
The reason they took Darko was because of his potential, had nothing to do with Tay. Tay makes a nice excuse now, err he used to make a nice excuse before the nets series, but they feel Darko will be better then Carmelo. I don't need to hear your sports guy resets either.Comment
