I know I'm late to the party but the Raps/Nets game was insane! Totally worth the social media blackout. Although I did start reading the forums late into the 3rd quarter and had to put my phone away after the first "here comes the collapse" msg I saw haha.


The raps dropping the huge lead late was devastating and if they were to drop the game I think the series would be over, wouldn't be able to come back from it. But pulling out the victory after those circumstances shows a lot about the team.


I know it's gonna be hard but I really hope they can finish off the series in Brooklyn tomorrow, I don't think my heart could take a Game 7.


And like I've been saying, Raptors, Please pay Kyle Lowry in the off season. My favorite moment of the game last night was when T-Ross still hadn't hit a shot and Lowry grabbed his head and basically told him to keep shooting. Can't teach that type of leadership.

Worse than usual? These are the same "experts" that didn't pick Dallas to win a single series the year they won the championship.

But yeah, no point even paying those predictions attention. This year especially isn't the year to be trying to call them out on picking a crazy first round like this.

And like I've been saying, Raptors, Please pay Kyle Lowry in the off season. My favorite moment of the game last night was when T-Ross still hadn't hit a shot and Lowry grabbed his head and basically told him to keep shooting. Can't teach that type of leadership.

Lowry has probably earned himself a max contract because you know some team is going to offer insane money for him. He deserves close to that kind of money though the guy is clearly the MVP of the team as Jack Armstrong pointed out last night. I also loved that moment when he talked to T-Ross. It shows the leadership ability of the guy.

BTW I agree, I don't think I can take a Game 7. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Lowry has probably earned himself a max contract because you know some team is going to offer insane money for him. He deserves close to that kind of money though the guy is clearly the MVP of the team as Jack Armstrong pointed out last night. I also loved that moment when he talked to T-Ross. It shows the leadership ability of the guy.

Great points. How many teams out there 1) need a starting point guard and 2) have the cap space to throw big money at Kyle? The only 4 teams that fall into that category are Toronto, Orlando, Lakers and maybe the Kings (if they dont stick with Thomas).

Orlando will probably use the draft to get a PG. Lakers may give him a big money 1 or 2 year deal but nothing more. The Kings could do it but I think they like Thomas. Toronto is the best fit for him period.

I really don't think people should be so dwn about the state of this team. Gotta see what transpires over the summer, and it should be interesting. This team overachieved and were completely gassed when it came to closing. Again, Washington playing some impressive ball too but I think expectations were a bit high. The Bulls window will still be open, just gonna be a different squad. Again.

If Lowry leaves, Raptors have nobody else to blame but themselves. He's better than the PGs like Holiday,Lawson and Rondo, but I don't see Lowry like a Paul,Williams,Rose. Somewhere inbetween those guys would land him around the 14-15M range. If Paul and Williams get 18M but Rondo gets about 12M, Lowry is somewhere inbetween that range for sure.

Raptors have about 20M in cap space with 11 guys signed to deals(and that's assuming they keep Hayes and Fields and aren't even able to deal them and shed even a few million from those guys), the room to keep him is there.Lowry for 15M is basically just taking the money saved from Salmons and Cambys contracts(Salmons expires,most of Cambys isn't guaranteed) and adding it onto Lowrys current amount.

I meant like importance/money wise. Hopefully it won't cost close to Williams,Rose like money to keep Lowry. Raptors should use the contracts signed by guys like Holiday,Rondo and stuff as comparisons for why 13-14M would be good amount for him.
