Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
Apparently this happened in the 2011 finals and no one was suspended.

Chris Mannix ✔ @ChrisMannixSI Follow Have re-watched the leave the bench play a dozen times. In my opinion, no suspension warranted. George drifted a few feet. Not enough, IMO

Ken Berger ✔ @KBergCBS Follow Doesn't matter whether you stop before leaving vicinity or someone stops you. Question NBA must examine: Did George go too far?

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
Doubt he does, though I know in NHL it's a rule where a player is suspended for 10 games if he leaves the bench during a fight between players on the ice(most recently happened this past September in that insane Leafs-Sabres brawl)Comment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
I just can not see the NBA suspending a star player of the favored team going into a game 7 for what George did.
By rule should he be suspended? Yeah. But I'd be shocked if he was.Tennessee Volunteers

Never did excuse him for only getting 3 rebounds a game, BTW.#RespectTheCultureComment

People actually have been, lol
It's "out there" now...they'll have to at least speak on it at this point...Comment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
The media asked both coaches about it after the game. Seems like the rule is pretty cut and dry. Would be pretty unfair to other teams penalized in key situations through the years to just sweep this under the rug.Comment

People are talking about it and im very very curious. CBA Sports picked up on it too... I still have my doubts though.Comment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
... We're supposed to find that one post wich explains what you think is the issue with that matchup? Is it the 3pt shooting of Antic?
If so, why is it not that much of a deal when Hibbert is guarding Bosh who is btw a better shooter than Antic behind the line.Comment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
Otherwise, I could care less if you find it or not personally because it's clearly obvious which post I was referencing. Not sure what Chris Bosh has to do with this either.
Here you vni since it's apparently too far behind for you to go look for:
Hibbert's offensive game is just lost. But He's still a good low post defender + Rim protector which is completely useless in this series because Hawks don't have a low post guy. Hawks have Stretch 4 and 5 guys which hurts Hilbert even on Switches.
And No Suspension on George that would be ridiculous if that happened.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 05-01-2014, 11:41 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
That doesn't explain being ineffective in every facet of the game. I know you said it mostly falls on Hibbert's shoulders but to me, it's ridiculous to even bring up match ups as an excuse for his production. I just don't like making excuses for players not stepping up.
