Well, the excuse that has been made is that Hibbert has been bad because the Hawks stretch the floor with Antic at the 5. I don't see any way that has an effect on his scoring. He's shooting around 30% in this series and there's nothing in particular that the Hawks are doing to get that.
Just look at the numbers from Hibbert last couple of months in the regular season. Its not the matchup, Hibbert just hasn't been productive since the allstar break.

Also I'm not buying that matchup excuse for Hibbert. Dude just isn't the same.

He's not the same but also his best skill/trait doesn't apply to this series.

        Spoiler
Even if Hibbert played just 1 season and then retired, Pacers won that deal. That was Colangelos biggest mistake as GM. Especially since O'Neal was in Toronto for just several months, then dealt along with ANOTHER first round pick for Marion.

        So basically.....
Raptors lost 2 first round picks,2 second round picks,TJ Ford and others and all they gained was a 2nd round pick and cash(O'Neal deal for Marion who was dealt for Turkoglu who was dealt for Barbosa who was dealt for the 2nd/cash)

Honestly....how did Colangelo last so long after any of that? The best trades Raptors ever made in franchise history are the ones they don't make. Cause they've had so many horrible trades in franchise history.

Hibbert's last bucket was in the 2nd quarter of game 4. That's just pathetic.

What context? The guy has just quit. It's not a matchup issue. Besides who's that scary guy he's matched up with that prevents him from grabbing rebounds and scoring inside?

Or are you talking about that guy who shoots 12% from deep beeing the issue?

I dont know Pack... I've never seen an all star big man fail this bad, especially in the opening round. Having games of no rebounds is astounding. Rik Smits would be doing a heck of alot better than this.

If Hibbert needs the perfect matchup to grab more than 2 rebounds then something is wrong with him.

Eh I'm watching a game right now. I'm not gonna get into how much Hibbert's game has dropped. I already wrote another post about why the matchup isn't the cause for the big drop. But if you wanna explain how this matchup is causing his ineffectiveness then go right ahead.

Yeah Hibbert is on some next level leave of absence between the end of the regular season and this series. Ever since the Bynum trade the murmurs began. Then the script got flipped. The rebounding issues were present the last few weeks of the season, too.

Antic wishes he was the problem. the number of 3s that man puts up hah love this Atlanta team though I feel good about their chances Saturday

Should Paul George be suspended for Game 7 for leaving the bench during a scuffle? Suns fans will argue yes.

I mean, that is both feet on the court. One foot over the 3 point line....I would say that's beyond the 'vicinity' of the bench...

The NBA is going to have to come up with a hell of a story to excuse that...

I dunno, by definition it has to be stemming from an altercation, right? I bet they play it safe and don't suspend him. The outcry would be large and it wasn't that big of deal.

I know this could be defined as such, but its petty and they want to avoid some silly noise like this.

Stoudemire and Diaw leaving the bench wasn't a big deal either.

The scuffle was right by the bench though. He was the only player to step onto the court, other than another Pacers player who accidentally did when trying to hold everyone back. George wasn't trying to hold back...
