Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
dude needs to just suck it up and pay boozer his money from the amnesty
Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine · 8m Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf has long resisted idea of sending Boozer away via amnesty. So Chicago continues to chase sign-&-trade for Pau
Need to stop listening to these ESPN hacks man. Stein is ****ing clueless. This dude just spent the last week ignoring the Bulls being in the Melo hunt along with the rest of ESPN to push the Lakers in that race but now he has the scoop on what Jerry is thinking? Amnestying Boozer takes us under the cap and we lose our exceptions. We need the MLE to sign Mirotic and the BAE to use on another piece likely Hinrich. Jerry will pay the amnesty route if it's needed but avoiding it has nothing to do with not wanting to pay Boozer. ESPN hacks like him and Simmons though will continue pushing that angle though because they suck.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Yep, it was the money. Phil selling him on the idea that they will have money and cap space next summer. Who could they sign? Who knows. Klay and Marc Gasol will be free agents. Love, Rondo and Aldridge are long shots.
I don't see how Anthony is an idiot. It's been widely reported Chicago offered him significantly less than the Knicks.
I do feel like right now, this season, Chicago was obviously the better choice. But long term it's hard to say. Not that the Knicks exactly have a glowing reputation or anything but the Bulls organization seems to have a cloud hanging over their heads.Last edited by BlueNGold; 07-12-2014, 12:48 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Putting Calderon, Ellington and Melo on the floor at the same time would create all kind of defensive issues on the perimeter for opposing teams because they are all capable of hitting three's and it will allow Melo more room to work with. You double team Melo with either Calderon or Ellington's guy and they're liable to knock down that open three.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Y'all can just copy and paste my post from the other day regarding Melo because it still applies.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
He wanted to stay in NY right?
Not sure why he's been pandering though. I said he's an idiot because if he really wanted to leave he basically waited himself out of the game. To come out and say im staying well after you can't go anywhere else is silly.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Its funny to me how LeBron got blasted for trying to go win over staying loyal and now Melo is getting blasted for staying loyal instead of trying to go win. I know the situations are a lot different, but the irony is still there and its still pretty funny.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
He's not an idiot for choosing between less money from the Bulls (and a higher chance at winning now) or more money from the Knicks (and a chance to add help next summer).
Thibbs v Fisher
Rose/Noah v potential of adding help
Phil Jackson dynamic
Staying in NY factor
Anthony had a lot to think about, that's not being an idiot, that's called weighing his options.Comment
