Nikola Mirotic has announced that he will sign with the Chicago Bulls this offseason.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that it will be a three-year deal worth more than $17 million.

Mirotic was the 23rd overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft and has been with Real Madrid since 2008.

      Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread

Honestly I kinda like the Ariza in place of Parsons move for Houston. I think Parsons is a better player with more upside but I like the Ariza fit.

Nearly every game I watched Houston pretty much only used Harden and Parsons to iso nearly every time they had the ball. Parsons is capable of that, but I think having Ariza might be better for them offensively. I don't think he'll just go iso just because he has freedom the way Parsons seems to do. I can see him being more selective with his shots, and move the ball a little quicker. Hopefully another guy willing and capable of giving Howard some more entry passes.

I believe that if they thought it would have been a loss they would have just matched Parsons offer and not signed Ariza.

Losing Lin and Asik will hurt their bench greatly, but it's a lot of saved cap room. For what they used Lin as, a PG/SG who came in to basically shoot the ball, they can replace with someone like Mo Williams for much, much cheaper. As for Asik, he wasn't even needed until they ran into a problem with Portland. They can use his cap to fill more serviceable back up role players.. Just my opinion.

They struck out with the big name signings, but I don't think they regressed just yet. If they don't improve their bench then I think maybe we can start saying that.

Could see them signing Jameer Nelson too, who's a great fit with Howard, as a starter or reserve.

The only problem is that he's the only one who believes that.

Yeah Parsons was my favorite player last year but 15 mil a year? I'll take Ariza and his defense at half that.

They can trade for a guy and accept more salary on their end from the other team

For example they trade say Beal for harden. Well if Beal makes 6 million and and harden makes 14 million the salaries in general need to match up for the trade but here they can do it and take hardens entire salary for Beal with the 8 million exception being the make up for the money that didn't match.

Houston would only get the 6 but the wiz would take the 14 on their cap

Bulls will sign Kirk Hinrich to two-year, $5.6M deal for room exception ($2.73M next season), w/player option for 2nd season, per source.

It's business, but D.J. Augustin made it clear he hoped to be back w/ Bulls following playoff loss. Very unlikely after Hinrich re-signing.

Only place Boozer should be going is to jail for that 80 million dollar robbery he committed over the last four years. Grand larceny and fraud to be exact.

I've never been a fan of his. Lazy on defense and loves to shoot face up too much.

He needs to just run back to Cleveland for one year if the amnesty does happen. Get him a ring 😜
