when 100% healthy, all-around game as a point guard id rank em like this

      cp3-rondo-curry-rose-westbrook-wall-parker-lillard-lowry-irving

now if were talking pure scoring id probably put irving #4 behind cp3/curry/westbrook

Explain to me why he can't lead his team to the playoffs then. The 2nd best offensive point guard can't lead his team to the playoffs haha.

I never realized how polarizing Kyrie has become.

Also, I don't really understand how someone can be so high on Curry but so low on Irving. Curry is better IMO, but they're not all that different. Both are very good shooters with nasty handles and horrific defense. Curry's just a bit better shooting and passing.

And Lillard is not on Kyrie's level at all yet, and he's 2 years older as well. The gap between Lillard and Kyrie is greater than the gap between Curry and Kyrie IMO.

Curry is significantly better shooter and passer than Irving. Significant.

Lillard and Irving however are very very comparable. Switch teams and we'll see what the narrative is on both guys.

meh, curry is a MUCH better playmaker and better at shooting than irving. im not sure how you can say lillard and irving are that far apart though. Neither can defend a paper bag, both are avg-slightly above avg passers, and both can just score from anywhere.. also lillard isnt a locker room problem so + to him on that

well GG carr, i type this whole thing up only to see you said the same thing >>

Yeah, I guess I didn't realize how big the gap really was, but Irving's been one of the best 3 point shooters in the league in his own right up until this year when he took a step back. Lillard's a very good shooter too, but I think Kyrie has generally been much better inside, and while all 3 are pitiful defenders, Kyrie and Curry have at least been able to force turnovers.

And I think Lillard's situation helps him moreso than Kyrie's does. One of the biggest things people say about Kyrie is that his stats look great, but it doesn't translate to wins, whereas Lillard has been able to get into the playoffs even if he isn't the team's best player.

Edit: The first part about how large the gap is was in reference to Kyrie and Curry by the way. Just realized I didn't really specify that part.

I just question if Lillard would be able to do much better with the Cavs than Kyrie has. Or if you put Irving on that loaded starting lineup the Blazers have I don't think you would see any drop off in terms of wins.

I think if you put Irving on the Blazers, he would be more efficient with more assists. Portland spaces the floor much better with solid outside shooters while Cleveland's spacing is pretty bad. The paint won't be clogged when he drives and people will actually make their shots when he passes to them.

Kyrie as a playmaker is underrated due to Waiters and Gee being his sidekicks most his time in Cleveland. Hell he didn't even have a mid range shooting big man. His big men have all been "trash men". I agree, in my opinion, that the gap between Lillard and Kyrie is bigger than Curry and Kyrie.. I don't think there is any single aspect Lillard is better at. Maybe better in the P-n-r?

I guess i just dont agree with the lilliard irving comp. I dont see irving being better at anything than lillard, tbh i think there on the same level. I think curry as a playmaker is way better than both those guys, but i think lillard is a better three ball shooter than irving. I think lillard is the best defender of all three, but i think as far as all around pg status, curry is the best by far, then lillard with irving right on lillards back. To me curry is a point guard, lillard and irving are just scorers. If i had to give my assesment of top 5 pg's itd go cp3, curry, westbrook, wall, parker, and i think conely and parker are interchangeable, and rondo taking parkers spot when at full health. But these guys are my top 5 as far as just all around point guards, not simple scorers like lillard or irving.

He was ranking them all around there. Regardless Lowry is not better than Irving.

I think the first "tier" of point guards would be CP3, Rondo & Rose (maybe Westbrook?) then the second "tier" would be guys like Curry, Parker, Wall, Irving, Lillard, Dragic & Bledsoe.

I saw on Twitter how the Suns would be willing to get rid of Dragic/Bledsoe for Love. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They were a pretty damn good team when both guys were healthy. It wouldn't make sense to give up on that after just one year imo, even for Love.
