Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Agreed.
Stephen A. has reported that this could happen, and after 2010, I haven't doubted dude's word since. You KNOW he's "connected". Plus, LeBron just made $30 million off of Apple's beats purchase. Melo's wife has cash. These guys are smarter with their money off-the-court than people think.
THESE DUDES ALREADY HAVE MONEY. What's to seriously prevent this from happening??Comment

Dwight Howard in trouble with the media again: http://www.beautyworldnews.com/artic...bs-proving.htm
I don't really care what he does off the court, it doesn't bother me. If anything it will give him a gangster reputation.
And as for Melo on the Heat, I have mixed feelings because I would like the NBA again if this happened but people would also call me a bandwagoner all over again for being a Heat fan even though I was a fan since 2006 because of Shaq.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I don't just not watch the Heat anymore, I don't watch pro basketball now because of the referees. It's not bandwagoning to stop liking a sport, but if we got Melo then it'd be a lot harder for games to be ruined by the refs.INACTIVEComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Even in 2010, it's not like he called the Lebron to Miami thing from the beginning. At this point in 2010, he was still talking about the Cavs, the Bulls, and the Knicks like everyone else was. Which is why I think this is such a non story, nobody has any idea what's going to happen at this point. And the Heat in particular have bigger things on their mind right now.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

But what I mean is with someone like Melo, the Heat would be straight players and would be in less games that are easy for the refs to ruin.INACTIVEComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
As for melo, i dont think its that far fetched that he'd go to miami. As i said before, him and lebron have talked about how much they enjoy playing together on the olympics, and they also stated that theyd like to play together in the future. With as bad as lebron would like to win as many titles as possible to sure up his "legacy", i could see lebron trying to come up with a way to bring in melo. I think the chance of it could be higher if the heat lose this series.Lakers
