It's sad anytime i read/hear the term "multiple sources" I automatically assume Broussard is behind it and dismiss it as BS.

What the hell is Bledsoe talking about? I couldn't find any news about this besides that quote.

Phoenix Suns restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe has been just about silent while in limbo. On Saturday, though, in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala., he said that he's stuck because of restricted free agency rules, via Kyle Burger of WVTM-TV.

"First off, I'm letting my agent, Rich Paul, handle it," Bledsoe said. "I can understand the Phoenix Suns are using [being a] restricted free agent against me. But I can understand that."

Bledsoe is the top free agent still available, but there's not much of a market for him anymore. He went into free agency hoping the Suns or another team would offer him a max deal, and it hasn't happened. He's essentially right when he's saying that the Suns are using restricted free agency against him, as there's no way things would have played out this way if he was unrestricted.

Phoenix general manager Ryan McDonough has repeatedly made it clear that he intends to match any offer sheet for Bledsoe, and this past week president Lon Babby said the organization planned to bring him back. This has scared other teams away, and Bledsoe hasn't had any leverage with the Suns. It's hard to fault Phoenix for waiting this out, but it'd be nice if the two sides could get something fair done.

I might just be reading these quotes out of context, but it sounds like he thinks too much of himself.

Unless its something we dont know he might be overvaluing himself.

No other teams have made offers unless something is going on we don't know about.

If he feels that strongly then take the 1 year offer and bounce next year.

Bledsoe needs to be quiet. You are a RFA. If anyone wanted you they would have put in an offer & forced the Suns to match IE: Dallas & Parsons.

The Suns ain't using no rules against you. LOL

I think Monroe and Bledsoe should be smart and take the QO bc too many teams jumped at plan B after the whole melo and Lebron thing. If they wait until next year to be UFA I'm pretty confident some team will be stupid enough to give BOTH a max deal. They don't deserve it but they'll get it.

4 years though? I hope he lasts, sick of seeing coaches be fired so quickly in the league.

4th year is a team option so he might not last the duration of his contract.

I mean he's gonna get fired in a couple years and it's a shame bc with the roster he's got and in the west he will be lucky to make the playoffs or go above .500. I just hope he gets the chance to prove what he can do. I thought he had better talent in Cleveland than what his record showed but with that whole Dion waiters and kyrie feud going on maybe it wasn't all his fault.

Just going on from prediction and gut feeling I think the lakers will miss out on the playoffs at least the next 2 seasons. I believe after the 2 or 3rd year he'll be gone and that will be the end of his coaching career.

Another big problem is even the laker fan base isn't on board with this hiring. I mean he was a showtime laker and he was one of the only options left after the lakers front office (Jim Buss) sat in limbo and missed out on Free Agency and getting a proven coach.

The lakers will be an awful team until Jim Buss is out of office and Kobe retires.

Speaking of Kobe, I know people were grilling him (as was I) for wanting To win and talking that money but he already has 5 rings, coming off injuries and knows another championship in LA is very unlikely, so why not take the money and just retire a laker.

Sorry for my little rant about the Lakers, I'm not even an LA fan but I felt the need to voice my frustrations.

Bledsoe is a whiny piece of ****. I don't want this guy anymore. I'm sick of these basketball players who think they're better than they are or have more power than they really do. It's a big part of what's driven my interest almost completely into the ground. Whine some more, ya dummy. Whine some more.

I only want guys like with the same motor and loyalty Dragic, Thomas, Tucker, and Tolliver have on my team. Tolliver and Thomas were ECSTATIC to be courted and signed by Phoenix.

I don't care if Bledsoe is a good player with a great ceiling. He's clearly an idiot and a primadonna. Apparently the prime example of the "2014 Athlete."

He's injury prone, there were multiple instances throughout the season where he didn't appear like he was playing his hardest, and now all this stuff. Using the rules against you? Uh yeah, no **** bro. You're a RFA.

If we actually re-sign this guy, he's going to have to do a helluva lot to make things right with Suns fans. We are pissed.

As long as the FO don't provide a playoffs roster to Scott there shoudn't be playoffs expectations. I would be really impressed if they win 40 games this season.

GL to him though, he'll need it.
