It's not like the dude is in the waning years of his career to warrant something like that.
I actually don't have a problem with that, especially considering his injury history. I'd probably do the same thing in Phoenix' case too and I'm usually all for players getting their money the right way.

That being said, if he's so unhappy with the team, then sign the 1 year qualifying offer where you'll be playing for only $3 Mil but then get to walk and negotiate with any team you want without having to give the Suns anything. But I'm not paying attention to the whole "woe is me" talk or anything resembling that from him.

These guys are going to get paid tons whether we like it or not.
Wall was going to get a max contract from the Wizards regardless of what the market was for guards. I'd say the second he was drafted by them, it was just a matter of time until he got it.

How? He says "if you ask me today, then yes. But I hope it doesn't come to that."

If you're committed to matching any offer no matter what, then you just say that and move on. No need to qualify that with an 'ask me today and yeah, but who knows about tomorrow.' Especially if the argument here is that they've scared off teams offering him anything. Maybe I've missed the interviews, but this is the only time that anybody from Phoenix has actually said they'd match, everything since that quote has been reports that they're expected to match any offer just like Houston was expected to match any offer for Parsons and yet that didn't stop Dallas from calling their bluff and signing him.

If were disqualifying a "yes" directly from the owners mouth...I'm note sure what else to say tbh...lol

            Guess well see what happens.

              Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread

Again I'm not disqualifying what he said. The discussion is about Phoenix scaring off other teams from making him offers and the question of whether Houston actually said they would match or if it were just reports. Phoenix left doubt in there that they would match back in February and haven't said yes or no they won't since free agency began to my knowledge, but reports (running with that February quote I'm assuming) has been that Phoenix is believed to match any offer. No team has attempted to force their hand or even make things harder on Phoenix by just offering the dude the max contract and letting the Suns have to pay it because they'll "match any offer" anyway. Meanwhile, the reports were that Houston would match any offer for Parsons and he got offered anyway. Utah was going to match any offers for Hayward and he got offered anyway. Yet Phoenix scared everybody away from offering Bledsoe because they were "expected to match any offer?" Doesn't add up to me.

Again though, he played 40 games last year in his only really productive season. You don't pay him the max based off that production. At this point there is more potential for him to get injured again than there is for him to become a max worthy player.

I just heard that Rodrigue Beaubois won't be back in the NBA next year. He will be playing in the Pro-A in France.
