Wall hadn't played that great before his extension and suffered injuries his first 3 seasons lets not forget that because he had 1 good season. Paul George was paid once again for what he was going to do and not what he's done. Yes he played great vs the Heat and has solid season but no where did that scream max player neither. These guys are going to get paid tons whether we like it or not.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Not really a huge Bledsoe fan but I can't believe he wasn't offered by someone. If Parsons, Hayward, and Klay all deserve the max I think Bledsoe does too, at least close to it.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Has nothing to do with Bledsoe's value, has to do with whether or not other teams think the PHX's FO is bluffing. The suns said they have pocket aces, and everyone believed them so they folded.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
How many teams have the cap right now to offer Monroe or Bledsoe the max? Or has the trade offers to make a fair S&T offer? I'd like to think both of these guys will come off the max or bust stance at some point.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I got it. Timberwolves trade Kevin love and Kevin Martin to Cleveland. Get wiggins, Anthony Bennett, some season ticket holders, and a couple cheerleaders. Timberwolves then send Rubio back to Spain. Signs Bledsoe and Monroe to for the max. Instant contender NBA Finals Timberwolves vs Cleveland. Book it

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
"I always feel in these medical situations that we have an extraordinary advantage because of not only the quality of our training staff, led by Aaron Nelson, but also the quality of our medical staff led by Dr. Carter," Babby said. "And if they tell us, as I believe they will, that he's going to have a long and healthy career, then I'm willing to take my chances and I think the whole organization will be willing to take our chances on that. And we know his circumstance better than anyone else would know it.
"I think he will be a Phoenix Sun for a long time; that would be my expectation and my hope."
Even if he signs an offer sheet with another team, as would be his right as a restricted free agent.
"Yes," Babby said when asked if the team would match any other offer. "If you ask me today, I would say absolutely we are going to match any offer, but I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope Eric has developed enough of a feeling, and my instincts are that he likes it here."Comment

That quote doesn't sound like PHX was committed to matching any offer? I'm confused there...
I'd be willing to bet Bledsoe gets maxed out or near it next summer though....it isn't as if there just isn't a market for a guard like him...especially nowadays..Last edited by The 24th Letter; 07-30-2014, 05:20 AM.Comment
