Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Considering the Cavaliers don't have to give up several draft picks and instead likely the Miami 2015 pick they have, it's a great deal. Love will instantly replace and far outproduce Anthony Bennett. Obviously losing Wiggins sucks, but gotta give something up to get something.
The Cavaliers still have a ton of young assets and picks. It's amazing. This team, with the addition of Marion, is going to be...just loaded. They can go nearly 2 deep at each position and be okay.
Kyrie/Delly
Waiters/Miller
James/Jones
Love/Marion
Andy/Thompson
Wow.
But let's keep it real with the rest of that roster. Varejao and Miller's injury histories make Wade look like Cal Ripken Jr.
And if James Jones and "Delly" are playing significant minutes something has gone horribly wrong.
Talented roster, hell yes. Deep roster, very questionable.Good job! Good effort!Comment

Good group for the Cavs, hard to pass up Kevin Love if you have the pieces to get him.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
probably my last thing on the defense of cleveland.
If love can be a respectable PnR defender, then i think they will be fine. Bosh was far more important to the heat defensively than stats would show because of his PnR coverage. Ive not seen love be that respectable PnR defender in minny, so as of now im expecting some big games for other teams (especially since the cavs will most likely play a high pace game with alot of 3's) but as long as he can not be a liability out there they have are probably my favorite from the eastComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
To me it's not a question of talent, but more so cohesiveness and chemistry. We can say Miami didn't have a 4th option like Dion, or whatever else but until this unit shows they can click and build a system that works none of that really matters.
Miami was never all that deep, they never had a great big man, great 4th option, great PG, etc. but they built the perfect system, defensively anyways, around what they did have and their chemistry built and took over. It still took some time, and they weren't instant winners..
If Cleveland wins it all this first season I would definitely be shocked. I won't say they can't because they have LeBron surrounded with top level talent, but for things to click perfectly right off the bat in year one.. That would be pretty rare.Comment

Honestly, I am wondering how Cav's fan's feel about the floor spacing on offense...
Do you start Miller at the 2Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
if miller is starting over waiters hes probably going to request a trade from all the crap weve heard about him.
hes every bit a bad defender and 3pt shooter miller is. hes a better player, but hes not as smart although i still think his best role is the 6th man for that team with miller @ the 3Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I think the spacing is fine if our starting 5 is KI, Dion, LBJ, Love, Andy. Dion can hit the 3, and Andy developed a mid range shot.Comment

This is why I hate leaks, and why I dont like this 30 day rule. It puts rookies in a bad situation, as well as just delays movement during the offseason.Comment
