Its unfair to call somebody a bust after one season where the player was out of shape, injured, and in a terrible coaching situation. With another year under his belt and the fact that hes fully healthy, he could be primed for a breakout year

Welp Philly is just stock piling picks. But hey in the grand scheme of things it's not earth shattering unless Embiid and MCW become this beast of a tandem and Bennett becomes this stretch four we've never seen before.

Philly gets younger and continues to tank while gaining pieces
      Minnesota still is Minnesota.
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

so thinking about it more, philly potentialy going to end up with a top 5 pick.

lets say for the sake of saying they get a good pick and select a wing in the likes of stanley johnson.

you are then looking at a 2015 lineup or MCW, wroten, johnson, bennett/noel, embiid

there door is also open to throw an assload of money @ reggie jackson, rondo(move mcw to sg), dragic, monta ellis, eric gordon, shump and so on to take either of those wing spots and put wroten/johnson on the bench

no lie, thats a future ECF contending team if they pan out.....its going to be real ugly for a year or three, but they are heading in the right direction

No lie, i think about how good the sixers will be in like 5-7 years whenever i hear they made a new deal. This team is going to be elite, and they will contend for years to come. Hinkie is over here drafting an elite starting five, and one of the future best benches in the league.

quick question- can Bennett make his free throws consistently?

Kinda torn if I should keep or trade him in my fantasy league

I think this situation clearly explains why the heat were so hated because of the decision. I hated the heat for that but I liked LeBron still bc I got why he went there. Yet, when he joins kyrie and k love comes, no ones really complaining and neither am I. I think they will be a fun team to watch and I hope at least the Cleveland fan base gets a title bc they deserve it.

And what r the 76ers even planning? They've been bad and have so much young undeveloped talent but they are still tanking. Idk if they are planning to get a star in the draft or make a FA splash in the coming years or what.

Philly will have tons of potential, but bringing all those guys into a losing situation is playing with fire. It's hard to develop all this youth when the players are put in a situation that basically tells them to be content with losing.

That's the only thing I'd worry about if im a Philly fan. But we saw players such as Kemba Walker (used to winning) go through the same situation, and he's turned out great

i leave it up to the coach. hes going to be the deciding factor in if they turn into a perenial lottery team or find their way back to round 2+ of the playoffs IMO

but for the sake of development they need to play bennett and nerlens 30+ minutes a game this year (not like they have any other options?)

Apparently the Love-to-Cavs deal could be vetoed ...

Tap here to access our NBA Tracker, which includes offseason rumors, trades and signings.Fans of the Minnesota Timberwolves have been here before. Avoid under-the-table future contract agreements at all costs. As reported by Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers have been downplaying a pending trade involving Kevin Love for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future first-rounder for fear of breaking rules detailed by the CBA.The first hurdle is that any trade involving Wiggins won't be able to be consummated until Aug. 23, which marks 30 days since Wiggins signed his rookie deal with the Cavaliers. The CBA stipulates that players cannot be dealt within 30 days of inking a deal. The second, and more perilous stipulation involves Love. It's been rumored that the Cavaliers made the deal with some assurance that Love would sign a long-term extension with the squad when his contract runs out in 2015 (provided he declines his player option). However, agreements on future contracts are strictly not allowed, and if the league finds evidence of such an under-the-table deal, punishment looms for both teams, including nixing the deal in the first place.Ironically, the best example of such a violation also involves the Timberwolves. It was found that the Timberwolves and forward Joe Smith had a written agreement for a lucrative future contract. The resulting punishment saw the league negate the deal, and the Timberwolves lose $3.5 million as well as four first-round draft picks. On the surface, the Cavaliers reportedly sending two back-to-back No. 1 overall picks in a trade for one year of Love is a steep price. It's made more palatable, however, with an agreement from Love to ink a five-year deal thereafter. Said agreement would be strictly illegal if concocted before Love actually reaches free-agency in 2015.

They're not just content with losing, they're encouraging it. That's my biggest objection to the Philly experiment. I don't think Hinkie is properly evaluating the human side of it. His coach will have gone 2, possibly 3, years without coaching a meaningful game. Can MCW unlearn all the bad habits he's picking up? I just don't think you can punt two whole seasons and not have some collateral damage.

You don't pick up bad habits just because you're losing. They have a very good coach in Brett Brown who uses every game as a learning experience. They will be fine.
