If they can afford Melo with Bosh there, could it possibly work out where they get a combo of Lowry and Deng or something with Asik in his place?

It's all just hypothetical nonsense. But I think if Bosh was moved for a legit rim protector a rebounder (didn't Asik average like 15 per game that last month Howard sat a few games?) and on top of that add 3 good role players. I think that puts them in better shape than what they are moving forward.

Adding Melo, or any extra scorer, would make them tougher to defend without fixing any of their other issues. Making an alternative move, might slightly lessen their star-power scoring, but it could fix their rebounding, post defense, and land them a point guard that Wade and LeBron can actually benefit from, rather than it being the opposite.

I know nothing about the contracts but I can't imagine they could afford to put that team together.

      Lowry, Deng, Asik

      Rather than: Bosh and Melo?

They probably couldn't. I just meant that moving Bosh for Asik, if it even worked, would give them room to sign 2 or 3 guys who would better fit their system.

Lots of quality few agents. Lowry, Pierce, Deng, Gasol, ZBo, Gortat, Hawes, Marion, Meeks, Carter, Stuckey, Blake, Hill, Ariza, Blair, Livingston, etc.

I'm just thinking Asik, plus any combination of 2 or 3 of those guys could put them in a better long term position than what Melo and Bosh might.. Which I'm pretty much 99% sure the Melo thing isn't happening anyways, so basically Bosh and whoever they can afford with his contract vs. Asik's.

im not sure having deng and asik would do much for miami, sure the defense is much improved, or should be, but the offense would probably get worse. lowry would take wades points but im not convinced you could get 30+ from deng/asik

now if were talking some low-key signings assuming salary worked i could see a could team of lowry-wade-james-pierce-monroe with a meeks, stucky, kanter bench.

And how would they go about getting some of these players?

Weird that I haven't seen anybody talking about Melo going to Dallas. It's a definite possibility. A lineup of Calderon/Ellis/Melo/Dirk/Dalembert isn't going to play much defense but they'll pour it on offensively.

If it happened I would probably try to grab a defensive minded wing player and turn Monta into a sixth man.

i saw melo said hes open to dallas, does that count?

also, id rather a calderon-ellis-D-melo-dirk lineup than dalembert starting ^^

I would say nobody talks about him going to Dallas because of the LaLa factor. If it's about LaLa then she definitely ain't going to Dallas. If leaving New York for Chicago or Miami is a problem for her, Dallas definitely ain't making the list.

If I am Miami I really like the Chandler Parsons idea. I have liked it since I found out Houston won't accept his option.

But they don't get 30+ combined from Bosh, Rio, and Battier. And that trio started like 70% of this season.. So they wouldn't need 30+ from Asik and Deng.

I'm not saying it even has to be Lowry and Deng. That's just the best combination of guys who would immediately "fit" in my opinion.

It could be any combination of guys really. I'm really hoping for Meeks though, I think he's the best option for a Wade sub that they desperately need. Stuckey is a decent fall back.
