He looks out for himself too much for my taste and doesn't quite fit with the way Thibs has crafted this team. Bring in some more defensive role players so that we can match what we had back in 2011 and we can be an NBA Finalist, possibly even an NBA Championship team. Carmelo Anthony is not the answer for the Bulls.
How does ESPN get that type of information? Did they hack his computer/phone and look at his internet search history or something lol.

I dont understand how anyone can think Rose-Afflalo-Butler-Taj-Noah is a more likely winner than Rose-Butler-Carmelo-Taj-Noah. Since Rose was drafted the Bulls have had 3 GLARING issues, shooting, scoring, and having no secondary ballhandler or anyone who could create anything outside of Derrick. Our defense will be FINE. Thibs has hidden Rip Hamilton, Kyle Korver, Mike Dunleavy, Nate Robinson, and most notoriously Carlos Boozer on defense. Melo is not any worse than any of them in my opinion. Getting Love woyldnt be smart because it doesnt help the issue of a secondary ball handler. The reason the Timberwolves cant get over the hump is because Love is not a go to guy in crunch time. He needs help to get a good look off. Bringing Afflalo would essentially leave them in the same spot they were in with Luol which is pretty good but not good enough to beat a real defense because they would still be highly dependent on Rose late in games. Thats not very smart seeing as that strategy has led to him missing two full seasons in a row

I am relaxed, I can care less about Melo or the Bulls. I was being facetious.

He just doesn't want you to jinx it.

I'm kinda with him on that. Don't mush us, Boltman.

Man Thibbs is the second best coach in the league...no way he would let Melo come in there and mess up the culture..that'd be the least of my concerns as far as acquiring Melo if I am a Bulls fan..

I'm telling y'all, this mindset is real in Chicago. Wouldn't shock me if we miss out on Melo just because he's hearing/seeing how many Bulls fans don't want him and think he's some kind of ball hogging cancer that's a worse defender than Boozer.

Why not bring over both Carmelo and Afflalo? Then bring Butler off the bench. Afflalo isn't super expensive; he's probably a bargain for what he does.

If I'm a betting man, I'd be willing to wager that that's exactly what they're looking to do.

My guess, is that Phil Jackson will eventually swallow his pride and just do a sign-and-trade with the Bulls. No way he walks away from this empty-handed.

The Knicks can wind up with Mirotic and 2 first-rounders.

I think so too, but wouldn't they have to trade one of the first rounders to get Afflalo? And what would the starting lineup look like? Melo at the 4 or one of Afflalo and Butler coming off the bench?

I'm guessing that Afflalo is a "Plan B".

I just don't see how they pull off both, unless they're unloading both Butler and Taj.

I'll put it another way; he's a complete moron if he watches Melo walk out the door and get NOTHING in return.

If he wants to play the old-school, tough-guy card, then more power to him.
