Considering Bryant hardly played last year...

Not really going to blame Bryant for Pau losing his sack. Now DanPhony on the other hand...

Again though, can that frontcourt get away defensively?

I don't think Pau is gonna be an 'amazing' starter anywhere from now on. He plays on one end of the court and has stopped moving his feet on defense since 2012. While he's still a very smart and skilled passer he's lost quite a bit of his back to the basket game and lower body strenght. He's also inconsistent and injury prone. A Pau and Dirk frontcourt would get abused and I don't think theses two compliments each other that well.

The two place I see him beeing great as a 6th men is Miami and the Thunder.

He could still be a very useful player in a different system. If he decided to care about winning again Dallas and the Spurs would be ideal. Passing systems with other scorers who can carry that burden. Defensively though, Carlisle would have to inspire him.

This series took Pau's soul.. had nothing to do with Bryant

Pau will drive Pop crazy on defense. He will not be able to defend like they do. What fits the best guys like Pau or Dirk is a Tyson or a De andre behind them. They don't need another dude who wants to shoot mid range jumpers and post up the elbows.

That's not unfair of you to say

I just think cultures that great can change people and fit most players in, especially with Pau's skill set

If Pau was 30 and healthy I'd agree with you but he will be 34 next season and he isn't in great shape.

Thing is he won't be depended on like a 30 year old. So I think that age doesn't matter as much going into a team like Dallas or the Spurs or Heat...

I swear the NBA has one the dumbest front offices in all of sports. Bad coaches snatch up jobs. Good coaches don't have jobs for years.

Pretty sure Pau could still command 8-10 mill

Well, coming as a shock to no one, Rudy Gay is exercising his 19.3 million dollar option for next year.

Two years? I think that's what Pau will be looking for.
