I guess my point is we have move on looking at Coaches ONLY by their W/L record because it can be a shortsighted way to really be able to tell how good they are.

I'm not looking at W/L I'm looking at overall body of work. Only thing that was mentioned was the WCF with the Suns that's it in 12 seasons?! I can see if he had a steady playoff run behind him or a good drafting track record. Too me he's a perfect assistant nothing wrong with that!

I never said there was anything wrong with calling him a perfect assistant.

Anyway, I hope he gets another chance at a HC gig. Did a good job in his last go around, all things considered.

I don't think just adding ZBo or Gasol in replace of Bosh is helping the team move forward or stay on top, if they end the season on top.

I followed you lol. And to clarify I meant Pau Gasol, which you luckily caught.

What about Greg Monroe? Isn't Detroit trying to get rid of him?

I feel like going forward..assuming the Big 3 stay.. we need to keep 2-3 shooters. JJ never gets playing time and he should, he's probably our best shooter right now. Rashard and leave, Battier is retiring, and Ray probably has 1 more year left. Really sucks that Miller had to leave, him and JJ are just lights out when they're on.

I like Chalmers and Cole staying, both big time players with some clutch thrown in.

Birdman needs to stay, amazing how he bounced back with Miami after all the drug problems. I'd like to see a backup for LeBron come to Miami also..just someone who can not make boneheaded plays and play alongside D Wade/Bosh.

And to be honest, I think we'll be ok if we can just add a few pieces to this team, because the East will probably only be a little better next year.

If Bosh leaves, we could sign Hayward and Hawes just on his formerly-guaranteed cash. This would give us some nice shooting and two great rotation players for us. If not Hawes, Humphries might be available for like $3mil.

              For replacing Battier, maybe Granger.

Mike Miller is a UFA. Why not bring him back.

We could go after Al-Farouq Aminu just for someone to defend SFs off the bench. Will be quite a bit cheaper than Ariza and we don't really need someone like Ariza if Lebron stays. Maybe Sefolosha for this role too.

Jeff Adrien was playing well. We could bring him into the rotation. Athletic bigs are needed.

No. He's a restricted free agent. Speculation is mostly media driven. As SVG said, the only way he is moved is if it was a no brainier trade.

Yes. But if Bosh goes, we could give them an offer Utah wouldn't want to match.

I'd be shocked if Utah didn't match with how much they value him.

Plus, wouldn't they just go ahead and negotiate a SnT for any team that would attempt to price Utah out of signing him?

Match $13+ million? When they have the #5 and #23 pick in the draft? I don't know man. His #s weren't as good last season.

They wouldn't even give that money to Big Al.

There are going to be a lot of teams trying to get Hayward this off-season, that asking price is going to be pretty high. And the Jazz are very likely going to match it too.

You'd give Hayward $13 Mil while admitting that his numbers weren't as good last year? But you also have to remember that for a team like Utah, which historically has struggled to FAs(or at least good ones),his value to them would be much higher than it would for Miami, which is why I could see them matching that.

To your last point, isn't that moreso because they had/have Favors and Kanter and that they would eventually have to pay one, if not both(which they probably would've considering what they gave up to get both of them)?

                              Per Woj
Los Angeles Clippers assistant Tyronn Lue will interview for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ head-coaching job late next week, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Cavaliers had closely examined the college ranks for a head coach, and are now looking at the landscape of NBA assistant coaches and former head coaches. …
In five years as an assistant under coach Doc Rivers with the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers, Lue has developed into one of the NBA’s most well-regarded young head-coaching prospects.

Yeah I would. I like him as a player. He's the type of player who would do great under Spo...willing passer, crafty, high bball IQ, can shoot the three. He also plays Starcraft so I automatically like him lol. He had a bigger role and his efficiency dropped for not much increase in production, he wouldn't be asked of as much in Miami.

Just pointing out that Utah has a history of not keeping players who would be big contracts. Millsap wasn't kept either. I don't know nearly enough about Utah to go into more detail than this...Jazzman where are you?

Don't know much about Stauskas, but he seems like a similar player. If Utah didn't want to pay GH $13+, they could get Stauskas who might give them similar numbers down the road. Wouldn't it be cool to see them build around Burke and Stauskas who played together at Mich? They could get Gordon, Randle, Smart...anyone. They don't exactly need GH.
